Don’t buy

Google can do nothing since the warranty period ended. Do not recommend. I was using it as a way hoto frame and music player occasionally, it has limited functionality and minimal lifespan. Google doesn’t value their customers and build products that will break once warranty is over.

Very Lackluster - Not recommended

Also, your Nest display could be having trouble connecting to Google, and you can try these simple steps below that may improve your experience:
- Check your Wi-Fi network for possible congestion. Relieving some of your connected devices may help free up some bandwidth space.
- Check the distance between the Nest display and your router. Ensure that it is within a line of sight from your router.
- Check for wireless interference with other Wi-Fi hotspots or appliances and devices nearby.
- Restart Nest display and router to refresh the connection.
- Reset your Nest display. On the back of Nest Hub, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub will let you know that it's resetting.

Nothing “max” about it

When it actually hears you, there is about a 40% chance it will get your request correct. No calendar because who wants a display that shows them their daily plans?? Worst of all, the camera quit working after 7.5 months, so we’re heading to Best Buy for product support or a replacement (only because we can’t trade it in for something else). Do not buy this!! Save your money and bash your head against the wall a few times, you’ll get the same experience.

Connectivity is awesome

Google you can do better

This device needs to be constantly restarted due to multiple errors. The device rarely shows my cameras, yet I can hear sound. The apps like YouTube Tv constantly crash. This is a glorified smart speaker with lackluster features and applications that don't work. Very disappointed Google and even more disappointed that there are no future features to get excited about.

Viewing streaming services by voice needs to improve. You can stream but you have to ask Google for a specific show. Unless I am doing it wrong, you cant just browse and pick a show.

Don't work with Ring

Nope. There's no way you can even add Ring to Google home. Returning back to Bestbuy tomorrow.

However, you are not able to purchase a subscription for the Nest streaming. You are only able to view live video you’re not able to go back. I was terribly disappointed in this feature and returned the product. The camera view you are not able to adjust you’re stuck with wherever you place the unit.

Does not disappoint

I got this bevause of my nest cameras but liked the alexa better. Put it in my sons room he broke the cord and they tell me their isnt a replacement sooooooo it sits in my basement replaced with an echo show 10

Poor interface with YouTube TV

Specifically it’s reliability interfacing with YouTube TV is poor. Probably 75% of the time when you ask it to play something on YouTube TV, it can’t find it and says it isn’t available even when it is playing on the TV in the next room. Even simple requests like “play CBS Evening news” or “play the national championship game on ESPN” on YouTube TV” it says it isn’t available. This is especially disappointing since Google owns both of them!

A range issue or wireless interference can cause your Google Nest devices to disconnect from your Wi-Fi. Try moving your Nest display a bit closer to your router. Sometimes it may pass the connection test during setup, but will struggle to stay connected if it’s just a bit too far away. You may also check for objects such as mirrors and refrigerators between the Nest Hub and your router as these items could block the connection.
