    Software Issue

    In order to get the camera to work you have to delete all devices on the Google Home app and Nest and load the Nest Hub Max first so the camera will work. Took a long time to figure this out. Had to go to the community forum to find the solution.

    Not Happy

    I bought this unit because of the camera and was going to keep and eye on my mom, But a major blunder was no nitvision on this cant see nothing in the dark or low light useless. Also wanted to call via my phone to the unit for a video chat, this is all very complicated. Also they want all your contacts and you have to except this and that. You can tell there thrust is spying on you and selling you stuff. As far as the unit its ok but big, I dont care about the music when I can control my phone and a Bluetooth speaker. I always think maybe this is the one but you now what these tablets and google speakers are all stupid in the end does all the same stuff as your computer and phone with less control so why waste the money! Its going back!

    Good size screen with good resolution. Resets and freezes a lot. There are better options available.

      If you haven't tried yet, resetting Nest Hub Max may be helpful with the issue. A factory reset will reset your Nest Hub Max to its default factory settings. To reset, check on the back of Nest Hub Max, press and hold both volume buttons together for about 10 seconds. Your Nest Hub Max will let you know that it's resetting.

    CONSTANTLY looses connection to wifi

    CONSTANTLY looses connection to wifi even though nothing else in the house does. Our other Nest Hub 7" displays never loose connectivity. I smashed our Max display into a million pieces last night because I just couldn't take it anymore. Do some searches, others have the same issues with this device. JUNK.

    Only had 3 months

    When it worked it was a good product. Now the screen went black we have reset it tested our Wi-Fi no luck so now I’m out $400

    Great idea but the software is way too buggy. Nothing works consistently, - sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. Google rolls out software whenever it feels like it, - sometimes good updates but sometimes just makes things much worse.

    Googoe bricked device camera

    I noticed hub wasnt working right, so remived from home and did factory reset like google said....and now the camera will not work or setup on hub...im taking into geek.squad tomkrrow and demanding replacement...google just gives run around when call, and could care less..

    No longer works well - Google is sunsetting them

    Dont buy it. Google fired the team thst develops them and the quality and the ability for it to listen and respond and the speed of response is very slow.

    Worst customer service, fragile device and OS

    One of the worst smart displays you can have in the market. Camera stops working need to call customer service (2 hours spent with customer service). Please don't waste your time and money.

    Camera stopped working and google still hasn't fixed this known issue since 2020 but that's what happens when they are too busy working for corruptPoliticians.

    Brightness Control Broken

    You can not set the display brightness. You have 0%, 50%, or 100% settings. So it is off, to dark, or to bright. Known problem that Google will not address.

      Hi Bunkman, we’re thankful for your feedback about the the Nest Hub Max, and we hear your concerns about setting the display brightness

      Ambient EQ is automatically enabled when you set up your Nest display. You can choose to have Ambient EQ adjust the screen color to match your environment Always, during Ambient only, or Never as shown below. If you’d like to offset the brightness, you can do so in the Display settings on your Home app. To disable Ambient EQ, utilize the Quick settings tray on the device when you swipe your finger up from the bottom of the display, and tap the sun icon.

      The minimum brightness of your Nest display's screen can be adjusted in Display settings. The effect of this setting will mostly be visible when the Low-light clock shows, and enables you to make the Low-light clock dimmer or brighter, to best suit your individual preference. If you find the Low-light clock to be too dim when the room is dark, change the minimum brightness to Bright or Brighter.

    Not worth the headache

    Purchase Google Nest Hub Max today, and have been talking with tech support for past 3 hours. Migrating current Nest account to a Google Home account seems impossible, even for Nest and Google tech support. I will be returning Google Nest Hub Max tomorrow.
