Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The screen and speaker are fine, but the device doesn’t REALLY have all the apps that they are claiming. It says it has Netflix, YouTube TV, YouTube, Hulu, etc but when you click on the apps on the screen, you can’t search or browse or anything. You have to have another device to cast from your phone or iPad or something to actually get to watch what you want. The voice controls are overrated and don’t work all the time unless you know exactly what season and episode you want to watch on Netflix or something. It is much easier to find it on your phone and cast. I didn’t realize that before I bought it and all of the advertisements kept saying this has all of these streaming apps, when really doesnt and just has a dumbed down version of the apps. This thing is is a glorified screen.

You can play and control TV shows and movies on your Google Nest display using only your voice. You can only use select partners to play shows and movies on Nest displays or TVs using speakers or displays. Find out more using this link: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7214982
You can also try to retrain your Nest display to better recognize your voice. See the steps below on how to do this:
- On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Assistant settings and then Voice Match.
- Tap Teach your Assistant your voice again and then Retrain.
