Awesome hub. Linked nest doorbell camera and Arlo cameras, plus iRobot Roomba, Nest thermostat, Dyson, fridge, dishwasher etc. Using YouTube premium, YouTube music, Spotify, Netflix. Oh, and your library of stores google photos appear as screensaver with weather info. Did I mention it is also an indoor camera with speaker and mic. Highly recommend this to anyone.

Bought for my mom so she can easily video chat throughout the house with family. She LOVES this device. It seamlessly integrates with Google Duo for voice and video calls. She keeps it in her kitchen and Loves to talk to her Grandkids while she cooks :-) Setup was a breeze and this device can even be used as an additional speaker when setting it for audio playback with all google devices in the home.

Does what it advertises itself to do - the lack of five stars is for the lack of customization allowed in the Google/Nest interface. If you're looking for something that'll show you what you believe are four or five critical things to see about your house on a convenient dashboard (like, thermostat status, time, outside temp, a security camera) - this isn't a device for you. If you're interested in an ok speaker and a hard-to-use recipe display, then sure, this works?

Easy set up and hands free access to internet. Love using it while doing dishes or making meals

The Nest Hub Max is the perfect product for my home office. I can steam iHeart Radio, Apple Music, as well as view my family photos on a larger screen.

Fantastic sound. We have both Google and Alexa devices. We have elderly family that we "drop in" on and this is fantastic for sound and picture quality. Very helpful for family safety supervising elderly family members.

Expensive but great! I just wish that the Ring doorbell would work with it as advertised. Ring items are not listed as items to choose from even though they advertised that they’re compatible. Regardless, I really like this and have begun to rely on it for the lastest news headlines when I get out of the shower and preparing to start the day. Weather forecasts, music, YouTube videos, etc. Quite robust.

I bought a standard Google Hub to use as a smart device and clock. I like to watch YouTube while I work in the kitchen and used my tablet but it was difficult to position so I could see it. When the Max Hub came out I bought it right away. Now I can watch videos in my kitchen, listen to music, ask a question, set a timer, pull up a recipe... I can have the home screen display a clock or pictures. I love my Max Hub!

I am pleased with the Nest Hub Max and getting more out of it than I expected. The sound quality falls a little short of what I'd call HiFi, but it's way better than a table radio (if you can remember those), and a lot better than some of the smaller smart speakers. The display is bright, clear, and colorful, and I love using it as a photo frame. I appreciate the physical video/mic mute slider switch, which gives some confidence of privacy when turned off. When turned on, the microphone is VERY sensitive--it will respond to your wishes from anywhere in a fairly large room. It may go without saying, but the buyer should consider which devices they want their smart speaker/display to be compatible with. This being a Google Product it enjoys the ability to share notes with Google Keep, display Google Photos, and play YouTube, and of course it meshes with the Nest product line. If you have Ring doorbell, on the other hand, you may want to look into Echo devices instead. There is one annoyance that Google really needs to take care of: the inability to assign a different wake-up phrase. If you have other Google-Assistant-enabled devices (like your smartphone) within earshot, they are going to respond to the same "Hey, Google." Another minor criticism I'd make is that the "skill" set here is not as extensive as with Amazon's Alexa line, although at the same time, the integration with other Google products is a distinct advantage. The integration with Google Keep is a newly enhanced feature that allows one to display Keep notes on this device, which provides a workaround for the fact that you can't otherwise enter your own recipes into the Hub Max. Now you can add a note to Keep containing your recipe, and voila, it's available on the Hub. It would be nice if the same integration could occur with Google Drive, but it's not there yet. Your Google Calendar is also integrated into this device, but the implementation is limited, as is also the case with Keep--both feature overly large type--preventing one from looking at a full day's schedule on the screen, which is large enough to do so.

We pitched this as a central unit to control cameras, music, etc. from our kitchen. My wife also loves having the ability to Google search for recipes, set cooking timers, and video chat with family. We love this addition to our Google home automation.
