It is much better to have the camera. This version, compared with the Nest Hub (without the camera) is waaaay better for reproducing music as well. The sound is more powerful!

Easy to use and the camera is amazing. Perfect for large rooms. I have mine in the kitchen and it comes in handy when trying to video chat or look up information when your hands aren't free.

I ordered 2 of these for Mother's Day gifts. They were so easy for them to set up as Google led them through step by step. They both have iPhones but can now let Google turn on things around the house. This also gives me options to build on this system for future gifts such as all of the smart things. We are a Samsung family so ultimately these were purchased for video calling the grandparents. Ive had on fir years and use it in my kitchen for cooking and controling my smart things. I misplace my phone around the house often. I say, Hey Google, where's my phone? She replys then makes it ring until i unlock it. THAT is the most helpful and a hige tome saver. I now have a 2nd one for my master bath and I cant get enough!

Decided to setup the Nest Hub Max in the kitchen - great helper when it comes to watching recipe videos and controlling all my networked devices around the house. Love the fact it recognizes that it's me when I walk in the room. (If that freaks you out you can turn off that feature!!)

The Google nest hub max has so many features that are a pleasure to use. It has a nice design and comes in two finishes chalk and charcoal to fit in with any decor. The 10 inch screen displays your photo gallery and other information with great picture resolution. Listening to music sounds great from the speakers and the built in camera has many features.

I upgraded from the original google home hub, and the increase in screen size and the bigger speaker makes a big difference. We have also used the camera for google duo calls, and an extra "security cam." Very satisfied, we use it every single day for youtube videos, nest cam, and music which the bass makes a huge difference.

This is my first Nest product, and it's wonderful. The screen size is great and very clear. I was leaning either toward Nest or Amazon. Most stuff I have is Google and decided to add on the other Nest products - like cameras and security. It was on sale and for the price and quality, I made the right decision. Two thumbs up!

We decided to go with Google for home control of our Hue, Nest, and various smart plugs. This is the perfect size for the kitchen to work as our smart hub and viewing streaming TV, recipes, or listening to streaming music. The screen is a great size and the sound is decent for the size of the device. Face ID and Duo video calls work great. We especially like how the camera follows you while on a call, which is helpful when you're busy in the kitchen.

A little complicated at first to set up, however once it's set up it's very easy to use.

Only had this for 1 day do to the fact that the built in camera doesn't have Night vision, other the that it does have a clear picture during the day but with all the lights off nothing but a balck screen, definitely something google needs to add if they decide to do a 2nd Generation of the max until then I am just going to use a indoor Camera with night vision

I do want to start this review off by saying that I have an Apple phone and watch, I use Amazon all the time, and I’m familiar with Alexa and have other family members that use Alexa. However, Google Assistant has been the best voice assistant on the market so far.this is greatly due to the natural voice understanding that Google has. There is no need to say things, monotonous or robotically to a voice assistant like Siri or Alexa, because Google is able to understand natural language, and what you are asking of it. It’s many great functions and compatibility with Google Calendar and other task are an awesome addition to the house and a great help when you’re living a busy life

The Google Nest Hub Max is superior to anything on the market. This product ‘s performance is addictive and allows you to do everything from hands free video & voice calling, control the thermostat, security cameras, lights, play & control media, music - either by touch ir voice control. The list is endless and there is a camera built in - so rooms in your home may be monitored if you choose to use that function. If used in tandem with your Google Nest doorbell - you can see and monitor who’s at the door& choose how to respond. Can’t say enough about this awesome product - and have them all throughout our home. We won’t even cover the capability of watching YouTube, TikTok, Netflix, ect.on the Hub max - I’m just addicted and absolutely liove the functionality of the google calendar and all of the endless features. Beyond excellent !! can’t forget the Booming sound when streaming music - this bad boy delivers base bug enough for a backyard party.

I have many google nest mini's and hubs, decided to bite the bullet and get the max when it went on sale. Really didn't need a big display but wanted the better sound quality and hd display. I am impressed with the beautiful picture quality and better audio. The audio wasn't what I was hoping for but still pretty decent. Can't really compare it to any of my Bose speakers but it is a big improvement over the standard display. The camera works very well with the nest app, only thing I don't like is you can't turn the camera on from the app. No biggie, just wanted to have the camera off (turning it off in the max settings) and be able to turn it back on in the app. Also I wish they had the mechanical switch to turn off camera separate from the mic, you turn the switch off and your assistant is pretty much non usable. Have to turn camera off in the settings screen instead. Overall it is a nice display, not sure if I would have bought it for full price though.

We had a regular hub and having this hub max makes suck a huge difference. Literally! The size of the screen and sound from the speakers is so much of an upgrade. We have it in the kitchen, so the hand gesture recognition to stop and resume music and videos help a lot when we can’t touch the screen with wet or dirty hands.

I bought the Hub Max and the controls are easy,very responsive and easy to navigate,works well with my other connected google smart devices and being able to use YouTube is nice.Anyone who is looking at getting into the Google ecosystem highly recommend the Hub max to compliment your other devices.Speakers sound good.

My kids have the smaller Nest Hub and this one is even more awesome. It's intuitive and works well with our household of Sansung Galaxy lovers and Google devotees. Sound is great and works well with other Nest products. We have the bigger Alexa, too, but are all in favor of this Nest Hub Max 10".

The cons: concerns about privacy if you use this to its full capacity; extra cost to use it to monitor movement in your house when you are away (records to the cloud). The pros: great rotating photo function; you can set up routine - eg, morning routine for weather, news, schedule, etc; I paid this with another Google mini in my kitchen for stereo sound; very handy in kitchen for cooking (looking up recipes); fairly non-obtrusive

Has some connectivity issues or else it would be 5 stars. Ive got a lot of smart bulbs and other smart equipment so this has been a lifesaver. Much better than the smaller versions.

This is my third Google hub nest hub and I like the products this Max model That’s very good speakers and has a good sound I like the bigger screen the only thing I do not care for is the built-in camera because you can’t adjust the view at all and it’s normal Engel in points towards the ceiling rather than being able to email down slightly to pick up the majority of the room. Other than that it’s a good product.

This is just mind blowing: the google assistant is just from another world it get whatever you said to it and any command !! Even like my case we did in Spanish also and works perfectly Not mentioning about the amazing sound it has like if your tv is down this will have even better sound This is a must have item
