Great features and Best addition to Google

I think this was a better choice especially the situation now and if she falls she can actually use the Google Call feature if she cant get to her phone. Plus the built in Nest Camera couldnt go wrong.

I got this for my parents who are older, for video call. But it works great as a photo album. The video call quality is not very good on the mobile end however. The hub is connected to a stable 5ghtz internet signal and still can't get a good looking image on my phone for instance. However the video quality on the hub itself looks great. I tested it with my Galaxy S20, so having a good camera on the phone will certainly help.

Good Smart Speaker but looses connection often

Sound is excellent, photo display works very well and Google is responsive. However, possibly once a day it loses Wi-Fi connection. It is easy to fix - reboot, but it can be annoying. I have 4 Google smart speakers and about 6 Alexa smart speakers and this is the only one that looses connection.

We understand how frustrating it can be having to reboot your speaker when it loses connection while other smart speakers don’t, and this is not the kind of experience we want to share with you.
A range issue or wireless interference can affect the performance of your display. Sometimes it may pass the connection test during setup, but will struggle to stay connected if it’s just a bit too far away. If you're experiencing a spotty connection or weak signal, we recommend checking your Wi-Fi network to see if your bandwidth is congested. This may happen if you have too many devices connected on the same bandwidth or if your network package is not enough to handle the data traffic on the network. Removing other connected devices to your Wi-Fi may relieve network congestion. If your display is mounted too far from your Wi-Fi router, you may need to extend your Wi-Fi network’s range using an extender, boosters or additional Wi-Fi access points.

This product has been an awesome product to me and my family. I wish this device would have an internal battery source so if you are listening to a song and want to move the device to another location the music would be continuing on playing without any interruption. Beside of this miner detail I am very happy with this purchasing. Way to go Google. You all rock.

We have our hub in the kitchen and i use it ALL the time for recipes and my shopping list. This has saved my valuable time and helped me answer so many questions!!!

Cool but kind of expensive for as limited as it is

Video calling with this is like a totally new experience, especially if the other person has one too. But it is pretty limited in it's functionality really. There's not a whole lot it can do at the moment. I got it full price as a Christmas gift, but if I was buying it for myself, I'd wait for a substantial discount. Setup can be complicated to get right too if you're using multiple accounts or sharing it with other people. But it works well once you get it straightened out.

Go could play music anywhere in the house. I have each had three throughout the house and being a good investment for me. I ask Google anything for the time the weather in the east different city that I go to so I’ve been a win-win for me

Expected a little more from Nest

Where it lacks is the camera does not have a night vision mode - and I was unaware of this before purchasing. All other nest cameras have night mode so I expected this to have it as well. Very disappointed in that fact!

I can view my home’s surroundings on Nest Cameras, I can Video call with family through Duo, listen to Music, attend Church Through Zoom, check the Weather, There are children’s interactive stories, Download pictures and watch You Tube. And That’s just all That I know about.
