These smart displays are amazing gifts to get a parent or grandparent. Do yourself a favor and make it even better for them by setting up a Google photo share and setting their smart display to that shared album. Fill it with photos and keep it curated as the months and years go by. Your parents and grandparents will appreciate the new photos as time goes on (more more than they like the display itself ;)

Multiple Google devices around the home. Wanted a bigger smart display for the kitchen.

We've used Alexa for over 8 years. Alexa has become burdensome with its constant "by the way" junk with no option to turn off. Also it began failing to be able to turn some of our smart lights on/off mid 2022, where we had no problems for years. Tried Google assistant and have found it is far superior to Alexa. It actually understands voice better, which makes Alexa look like child's play. We're dumping Amazon in every way possible. They've gotten too big.

Google Nest Hub Max was a great replacement for a small older TV we had on the kitchen counter.

We LOVE our Google Nest products. I own and use many of the Google home products and have since integrated them into my elderly mother's home. Not only do I use it to make video calls but I can easily check in on her to make sure she's ok. She also LOVES photos so I can easily add pictures we've taken right to her hub for her to see. She loves looking for new pics.

I like it but feel like the screen should be a little bit larger. Fairly easy to navigate. My mom (73) and nephew (4) are really enjoying it.
