Does everything a smart home hub should. Sound is amazing!

Less expensive than Alexa. Can’t say if it’s better cause only ever had an Alexa spot.

I'm barely into a full day with it, and it has a lot of issues. First, setup of current Google Nest devices was not intuitive and troublesome, Google-adjacent devices didn't setup as advertised. It drops my Nest cam livestream constantly, and even says it is not available for 10 minutes at a time when it clearly is on the Google Home phone app, or the Nest app. It doesn't understand reasonable commands related to operation when asking to open things that are titled exactly that on the device. The initial interface is.....dumb. Weird, not clearly marked pull down / out menus from all directions and clunky navigation make it more annoying. I also find it strange the the device camera won't work if viewing another camera. Not a deal breaker there, but it won't record to the cloud service for as long as viewing.

This hub has great sound. With it showing a slide show it has become the center of the kitchen.

I love the Nest Hub Max 10. I love that I can watch my pictures on a slideshow.

This has some serious base! This was a major upgrade from my other google home.

Easy to use. Could use additional functionality. Tries to force you to use Spotify.

Roku is working perfectly although the setup is a bit complicated.

5 star unit, way too expensive.... bought them for video chat during Covid.

Most of my points on this item are the same as the regular 7" Hub, because it's basically the same device just bigger. Does what a speaker does but adds a screen with Chromecast functionality. One difference is that instead of a sleep-tracking sensor it includes a camera. Unfortunately, the camera isn't well integrated with the rest of the system and feels like an afterthought, tacked on from a third-party aquisition. The experience using the camera is a Nest experience and not a Google experience and drags the quality of the experience down. There is one other problem with the camera, as well. This display is a countertop device angled up at your face with no tilt control, so the applications for the camera are extremely limited. It isn't really useful outside of video chatting. The other difference is the speakers. This thing is LOUD, especially in the bass department. Luckily Google includes an EQ, because I had to turn the bass down to 10% to keep it from booming throughout the room and drowning out dialogue. If you're in the market for a device like this then I'd recommend it. It blows the Amazon equivalent out of the water, but at MSRP it's way overpriced for something that still does less than a similarly priced Android tablet, so wait for a sale.

Easy to setup, the screen is big on it, sound is O.K. overall very solid product!

The Nest Hub Max is an essential device for any Google Smart Home enthusiast. If you have made Google Nest your primary smart home tech, then you should definitely plan on investing in the Nest Hub Max. It's a great center piece in your high traffic areas of your home. We have ours in our kitchen and use it every single day. I just wish the actual on screen touch features were more integrated. You need to become well versed in voice commands, because that is where you'll be spending most of your time.
