Great product needs some sofwtware upgrades.

You and other users can enjoy a slideshow of your personal photos from your Google Photos library on your Nest display using your voice. To view Google Photos using the Google Home app, you must have Photo frame enabled on your Nest display. If multiple users use the same speaker or display, everyone who wants to view photos on the device must link their Google Account and voice to the speaker or display, even the person who set it up. Check the steps below that might help:
- Open the Google Home app.
- Tap Home > Settings > Google Assistant > Voice Match > Other devices.
- If you have more than one home, tap the home you want to add Voice Match to.
- Tap Get started and then follow the in-app steps.
- To turn on Voice Match automatically for new devices in the same home, turn on “Automatically enable on future devices.”

Posted .Hi there, DanB. Thanks for choosing Nest Hub Max. We can see that you're experiencing some challenges when using the device for SlingTV. Some video apps such as SlingTV may require you to link the app account to your Google Account. You can follow the steps below:
- Make sure your smart device(phone or tablet) is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Nest Hub Max.
- Open the Google Home app.
- Tap your account.
- Verify that the Google Account shown is the one linked to your Nest Hub Max. If correct, tap to close the account window.
- At the bottom right, tap Settings.
- Under Services, tap Video.
- Under the video app you want to connect, tap LINK.
- Complete the sign in steps.

Not quite as easy to link up as the unit it was upgrading. Could not get around user settings for prior unit. Had to set up with a different username.

You just have to figure it all out on your own. Search the internet for advice. Call on friends and relatives who have some experience using this. I am sure that by the time we have all figured out 75 % of the uses, Google will have moved up 5 more generations and the current Nest Hub will be so outdated it will be almost antique. And yet, we will still be learning to use the antique - with no instructions!! I cannot comment on quality or value because I am still trying to find out what this hub can do

While Nest Hub Max did not come with a user-guide manual where you can find the complete list of features, you can always access our Google Nest Help page to learn all the features that you can do on Nest Hub Max. You can find there the feature details, requirements and step-by-step instructions on how to set up a feature. If you run into issues, you can also use our support site for the troubleshooting steps. Here are some other things you can do with Nest Hub Max:
- Nest Hub Max adjusts its screen based on the color and lighting of any room it’s in, so photos on Nest Hub blend in with your decor. It also dims to match darker lighting at bedtime, so you don’t have a glow getting in the way of a good night’s sleep.
- Make Duo calls/video calls and leave video messages.
- When you’re away, you can use it to monitor your house with the built-in Nest Cam. You can check in for a live view and get alerts if motion is detected.
- It is the ultimate photo frame. You can create photo albums in Google Photos and display them on Nest Hub Max.
- You can watch YouTube, Netflix and play songs and music videos from YouTube Music. Plus, listen to Spotify and Pandora.
- Get hands-free help from the Google Assistant. See your personalized schedule, commute, reminders and more with Voice Match. Plus, get visual answers from Google and watch helpful videos from YouTube.There are more features to discover and learn.

Hardware is great... software needs work.

Seems like Amazon Alexa has more partnerships with manufacturers for their skills. I like the ability to watch my YouTube vids and podcasts on the device.
