Expensive Speaker
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Nest Hub Max overall does everything it advertises very well, however in summary it is an expensive (immovable) tablet with speakers. The voice commands are fun for initial few uses, then eventually it is only used for playing music and checking weather. The Duo calls are good, but with many options to do video calls on move, the hub isn't used that frequently. Overall, I am happy I got a deal but feel it's an luxury.

nest hub max is the greatest
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.love the big screen. excellent to display all my photos and watch videos on. the sound is fantastic. we play alot of music on it, and its so crisp and clear. the camera is great, the face recognition is a plus as it advises me of my to do list on my calendar and lets me know my expected drive time to work without having to say a word. also can check in on my house when im away with nest app.

Maybe a little over priced/over hyped
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an interesting product. It does everything the smaller version of the Nest Hub can do (except for sleep tracking). The large screen is great for casting Youtube videos. It can even handle calls via Duo and/or Google Meet. The software delivers on what it is supposed to do, except I cannot seem to get many of the third-party integrations to work, which is a bummer. Sound quality is decent, though. Probably a bit overpriced for what it is.

Excellent first step to building your Smart Home.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this as a step toward making our home "smart". We already had a smart thermostat, and decided that the Nest Hub Max would be a nice way to control the thermostat and switches from a central location. Overall, we're quite pleased. The Nest Hub Max is the best alarm clock in the world. Just tell Google verbally what time you want to wake up and at the appropriate time, you'll hear a gentle chime and a soft glowing light. You can wake to music if you prefer. We often play music from Pandora, just say "Hey Google, play some (name of artist). The sound quality is very good, and in stereo, although there obviously isn't a lot of separation since both channels are in the same housing. We also purchased two of the Home Max speakers to place in other parts of the house. It's easy to make a "speaker group" so that all will play the same music, so you can wander through the house and hear the music and/or talk to Google to control smart devices. Usually this works fine, but sometimes, all the speakers won't begin playing at the same time, perhaps this is an issue with my wifi. If one speaker doesn't begin playing immediately, I've found that if I am patient, it will usually find the wifi connection in a few minutes and begin playing, in correct sync with the other two.

A worthy upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a owner of the smaller Nest Hub and I needed to do an upgrade to a bigger screen so obviously this was my choice. Just like its smaller counterpart the Max is just as good if not better. The screen is more vibrant and colorful, the speakers are loud and the added touch of video calls from the device via Google Duo it is a win win

Easy to use as Hub
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unit was very easy to setup. This is my second Google Home. This one I'm using as a Hub for many different items. I have 2 Nest cameras, a Nest Thermostat, 3 Nest Smoke Detectors, a water sensor and smart plug. This is all installed in a second vacation home. We really wanted a hub unit that would Bluetooth to the items instead of using the minimal bandwidth we have at the house. Everything works really well through the unit and connects to the Home app well. I was even able to have a second account in the app just for the vacation home. I don't really use the unit for anything else. Just as a Hub. Way better than the Smartthings Hub. Just give up and get into bed with Google or Amazon because both of them have made things work.

Great Camera and Sound
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The camera has great video quality and picks up sound much better then most security cameras. The output sound quality is also impressive! I also love that I can lookup recipes and the screen stays on and I don't have to use my dirty fingers to navigate it at all or turn up/down the sound. Netflix looks great too! Love that I can watch a show or movie while I cook now! Highly recommend!

Hub Nest Max
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Google Hub Nest Max is an excellent way of integrating our Google Photos. It’s a great digital photo frame as it is a ‘control’ unit. The bigger Hub Max is also a lot louder and better sounding than the smaller version. The Hub Max can use its camera to recognize who is standing in front of it. Very Cool!

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's BIGGER and BETTER. It's the best! Iv'e been waiting to buy the Nest Hub Max at a lower price, and I got it at a good price of 199.00 I wish I would have gotten it last year at 179.00.. but this is good too. If it goes back on sale for the holidays (hopefully 179.00 or less) I'll get another one... Thanks Best Buy.

Nest Hub Max Smart Display
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded my Smart Home from the original Google Home and Google Home mini to the Nest Hub Max and Nest Hub 7". Seamlessly replaced my older hardware and integrated into my existing Home Automation setup. Display is clear, and is a nice upgrade from the older devices.

An excellent deal!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing does a decent job with YouTube videos, but it's just YouTube running in a browser, and every time I start it up it creates a new tab, so I have to manually cull old tabs periodically. Perhaps there is a better way? The sound is much clearer than the Google Nest Hub, and the display is about twice the area, so overall this is working out pretty well.

Most used, non phone gadget i've ever bought.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We placed this in the kitchen and man, does it get used by everyone in the family. Every day. My kids ask it what a fa*t sounds like daily while scrolling through pictures of our family from Google photos when it recognizes any of our faces. My wife and I watch YouTube TV while cooking or when the kids take over the living room. Video calling home with Google Duo is a neat plus, Without being able to physically move the Nest cam somehow follows people around the room as they walk and chat. I didn't realize it had a higher quality Nest cam (IQ?) built in when I bought it but that definitely would have sealed the deal if buyer's remorse started creeping in. Using facial recognition It will greet whoever it sees in the morning and tailor it's experience to you (if you open up your google privacy settings). It's only real fail is it's almost exclusive reliance on unfamiliar swipe gestures for screen navigation that take a bit to memorize but once you get used to them it's a non issue. Although tablet like, it doesn't provide any familiar tablet navigation options to fall back on but you can always talk to it. Considering the small one? It's a great alarm clock and picture frame but is rarely used in comparison. The additional features on the 10" make all the difference. Get it. The big one. Worth all the pennies.
