    We did not understand that this device does not work with z wave devices, so that was a disappointment. Otherwise it is fine.

    Need SMART Tec help with set up

    This has great potential, however, the You Tube videos do not address the glitches I have for set up with SMART lighting and especially with voice match and video calling for family members. I will need to have Best Buy support out to the house to help me. Not sure if they do house calls with the tech support package.

    Everything we have in our home is Google. Including four Chromecast TV, 6 mini speakers and a small Google nest for our kitchen. This new nest hub Max frustrates me because we bought it in December and no one ever mentioned that they would be sunsetting duo so we tried to set them up to video call family out of state, and it keeps asking for duo. Well, the replacement for Duo is Google meet. Which requires a big long meeting number that then shows up on your screen. And how are you supposed to copy and paste that by voice? If you're trying to talk to someone? These were supposed to be so you could just say hey Google video call Grandma and it would be a video call. But it just tells you to make sure they have duo. And duo is obsolete. So it then tells you to look at your screen and you get a big giant two line text and number reservation for a meet call. One. I've done meat calls on my phone, I have to copy paste and put it in a text or an email to send it to the recipient. They have to open their email and click on it to join a meeting. A tiny bit complicated for younger children or older seniors. This was supposed to be a way to have a video call as they advertise in all of their media. It is absolutely and yet I paid $349 for it and we have two in our home. One on each floor. Absolutely ludicrous. We have pixel phones. If we wanted to call somebody and hold it in our hand we just call them on the phone. But you cannot call by talking to your Google Max hub because duo is no longer available and meet requires a big, complicated step that has to be sent. It can't just be vocalized. So angry and so frustrated that I spent all this money on these when doesn't even work!

    We got this hoping to also use it as a hub but it's very limiting - doesn't connect to most devices outside of Google's. It's easy to setup and use; however, it would have been an expensive speaker - which we don't need - so we returned it.

    Awful sound, like the typical tries to make too much bass from too little speaker... so instead of sounding clear and real it just sounds like a muddy thump. I'm not even an audiophile but I switched to this from an Alexa that was connected to a Marshall speaker so it was pretty obvious immediately what a downgrade this is. Since there's no aux line out on this or any other Google Nest product there is no way to fix that either.. just stuck with worse sound. "Thanks" , Google. ,,|,, Setup was frustrating, this thing is really making me reconsider if I even want a voice assistant around the house if they're all going to be sources of disappointment and frustration as often as they might be helpful. Why do we all put up with frustrating tech???

    How is it something so big can’t be smarter than the doorbell every time I access the video I just stare and spin five minutes it’s OK I got a great Internet connection around the house but this seems like it just has a problem and when you talk to it you got a killer two or three times.

      Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're sorry to hear that you're having an issue viewing your doorbell camera on Nest Hub Max. Your experience with our devices and services is important to us.

      If you haven't already, we recommend restarting your Nest Hub Max and Wi-Fi router to refresh the connection. Disconnect the power cable from the Nest Hub and Wi-Fi router. Leave the devices unplugged for approximately 1 minute. Finally, reconnect power cable back into the Nest Hub and Wi-Fi router and wait until they boot up​.

      If rebooting the devices doesn't fix the issue, we suggest performing a factory reset on Nest Hub Max device then set up.

    Originally I purchased two smaller nest hubs but when the newer, large screen Nest Hub Max came out, I invested in repurchasing. The larger screen was more suitable for my elder parent who wanted to keep watch of the front door (doorbell). It worked for about 6 weeks. Then some kind of change must have been made on the Google side and we can no longer view the front door. Google support has taken over 10 hours of my/my brother's time in trying to troubleshoot without resolve. Both Nest Hubs were purchased over 30 days ago so I have no recourse to return. VERY DISAPPOINTED... over $400 spent for both hubs and we cannot use them for the purpose I purchased them for!

      There are a few things to check to stream video doorbells on Nest Hub Max:

      1. Confirm account has been properly linked. If using Nest Hello Doorbell, confirm the correct Nest account is being used. Confirm that the user’s Nest account is an Owner and not a family member account. Family member accounts do not currently work with Assistant integrations. They should use the credentials of the “Owner” to add it.
      2. Turn on visitor announcements in the Nest App.
      3. Enable Personal results and Home screen & notifications in the Nest Hub Max display's setting within the Home App.
      4. Turn Do not disturb off in the Nest Hub Max display's setting within the Home App.
      5. Unplug the power cord from your Nest Hub Max for a minute then plug the power cord back in.

    Git this for my nest cameras but really never use it. Not fond of a camera in the house for someone to hack into and watch and listen to everything so camera is turned off. Everything I need is on my phone to see.
