I should have purchased this first! We have a couple Google Mini's which were great additions at the time but the Next Max so far and above those. We put the Hub in the kitchen, it's great for news updates, listening to music, doing Google Duo video chats with family, getting visual help with recipes, playing family games and more. We are still finding more and more ways to use the Max. Even the built in security features are cool...alerts us to motion when not at home, fire alarms, broken glass...how cool is that?!

Used as a central hub for smart home devices, camera/doorbell monitoring, and Duo calls I can't recommend this enough. Now that it is frequently on sale it's definitely worth it. Google is supposedly replacing this with a 2-in-1 tablet model this year so you may want to wait for that if you want the added ability to remove the screen and use it as an Android talet.

Replaced a smaller version and this unit has much better sound and a bigger screen. Rest of device is the same.

Absolutely love this product, of which I have two now! It’s beautifully designed and functions flawlessly! Love the photo display feature from my google cloud photos, how it starts my day synced as it is to my google calendar, can watch live tv on voice command via YouTube tv, great for recipes , news, videos, music, controls all the smart home features , the built in camera which one can control to stay on or off, the ambient features where it just fades into the background at night/ when dark. Would strongly recommend this

Perhaps the best thing in my house. This item controls almost everything in my house. I can’t image my home without it.

We bought this for our living room and use it regularly. The bass is incredible for this little unit and we use it to play music all the time. I also like the camera feature built in. Convenient.

I own the small version which I really like but the Max version is so much better! It has a larger screen, better speakers, Nest camera and overall better experience. I liked the small version as quick glance or alarm clock but the screen is too small and the device is so light that when you touch the UI, the thing moves. The Max doesn't have any of those issues and will definitely replace the smaller one in the living room. My only complaint is the ugly white borders, why they didn't choose black is beyond me.

It is very nice to see photos, and get information. Really the inteligence is not so good, they need to improve the technology.. But for the camera, listening to music, get some notices, and managing, lighs is great

Great product! Screen is so much bigger than the previous version. Sound quality is fantastic. Recommend if you are wanting a great Google product.

Great hub, controls everything. Pictures are added bonus. Can stream via chrome and watch tv on it. Speaker is great too.

I can’t say enough about their products. We now have several cameras and Google assistance in our home along with the message system Wi-Fi. This company has just become the best game on the street over the years. I wouldn’t try anything else because this works seamlessly and they have so many other products. you won’t be disappointed. From day one my wife started calling up recipes and videos right in the kitchen and she loves it for that alone. When the nest doorbell rings this is the first device that opens up with a video of who is at the door. Amazing.

The sound quality is apparent once you start playing music. It is quicker to responding to commands than the previous model. The video quality is also seen when surfing YouTube. All in all the model has improvements in all facets.

Works very well. Easy to use. Quick response to commands. Clear pictures. Very good sound. Will buy a second unit for livingvroom.

I've been hoping to get a Nest Hub Max ever since they came out, and glad we finally got one. I haven't yet tried to use it for a Zoom video conference, but so far it works well with Google Duo (well, at least as well as Duo works). We use the large, old-school clock face with the black background which is perfect for use in my elderly Mom's bedroom -- the black background and the nicely dimmed white numerals don't have any nighttime disturbance and still provide her with an easy glance to see the time.
