My wife has it in the kitchen and it has family vacation pics scrolling when the device is in screen saver mode. She also likes that she can ask google to turn on YouTubeTV and select her TV channel while cooking. I tell google to turn the lights off each night. We plan to add more programmed routines that integrate with our other smart home systems.

It’s so helpful for getting measurement conversions when I’m baking. I also love that I can see the recipe on screen being made on video while I’m cooking as well. I highly recommend this for kitchen use!

I use it for recipes and displaying photos and with the bigger screen so much easier to see. To get installed and everything on the network was quick and easy and the touchscreen does make it easy to get into the settings. The microphone, if you are not in front of the device appears to not understand what you are saying at times. The Nest that lets you see your place while you are away is nice to have to letting it always track your phone I am not sure I am about that. Overall I am really happy with the upgrade.

Handy device for google ecosystem

Comes in handy for YouTube videos and things like weather reports, kitchen timer, answering trivia questions. I am probably not using it to its full potential yet, but I am working on that. Changing wifi settings is a bit more complicated than it should be. I like to periodically change the wifi and password for security reasons.

We are able to save recipes, set reminders, watch/listen to anything, and even use it for calling. What is not to love about the item? I guess I could say it lags sometimes but for the most part it works pretty well in that regard. Have a microfiber handy for sure wiping off the screen often.

My mom is in her 80s. She doesn't have a smartphone but can still work this to call her grandchildren, my brothers, or me. You can use someone else's smartphone to set it up and just make a Gmail account for your parent or child to setup their own profile on the device.

Seeing all my photos is nice as well. Connecting to my nest video door bell shows me who is at the door in upstairs bedroom. Easy to set up.

Only issue is when losing my phone, the Google Hub Max will not ring my phone to help me find it, perhaps because the number is attached to me, but would be a great thing if they can fix that in an update in the future.

We'll certainly look into this information and see how we can further improve Nest Hub Max. If you haven't tried yet, we recommend unlinking and relinking your Google account, including setting up the Voice Match feature, to see if it might fix the issue:
- Open the Google Home app.
- Tap Home and then Settings and then Google Assistant and then Voice Match and then Other devices.
- If you have more than one home, tap the home you want to add Voice Match to.
- Tap Get started and then follow the in-app steps.
- To turn on Voice Match automatically for new devices in the same home, turn on “Automatically enable on future devices.”
- Say ""Hey Google, find my phone"" or “ring my phone” and your Google Assistant should ring your phone, even if it's set to Do not disturb mode.
