I have personalized it so she greets me every morning. I live that I can ask her to play any song or show any video and she does it with no addition subscription. I can view all my cameras from the hub. Great volume. When not in use it streams my favorite pictures. I can not say enough about this gadget other than a must have for every home. Oooh wait....did I mention it’s a camera too!!!!!!!!!!

Simple to setup but reboot after initial use

Rebooting it after setup cleared the bugs. There are some privacy protections that were a bit awkward to work through, but since I was putting a internet connected camera in my living room it is nice they have some safeguards. I have a Lenovo 10 Smart Display and this seems very similar in quality. The Lenovo was easier to setup, but I'm not sure it has as many privacy safeguards

Only issue is when losing my phone, the Google Hub Max will not ring my phone to help me find it, perhaps because the number is attached to me, but would be a great thing if they can fix that in an update in the future.

We'll certainly look into this information and see how we can further improve Nest Hub Max. If you haven't tried yet, we recommend unlinking and relinking your Google account, including setting up the Voice Match feature, to see if it might fix the issue:
- Open the Google Home app.
- Tap Home and then Settings and then Google Assistant and then Voice Match and then Other devices.
- If you have more than one home, tap the home you want to add Voice Match to.
- Tap Get started and then follow the in-app steps.
- To turn on Voice Match automatically for new devices in the same home, turn on “Automatically enable on future devices.”
- Say ""Hey Google, find my phone"" or “ring my phone” and your Google Assistant should ring your phone, even if it's set to Do not disturb mode.

Great addition for the kitchen!

We are able to save recipes, set reminders, watch/listen to anything, and even use it for calling. What is not to love about the item? I guess I could say it lags sometimes but for the most part it works pretty well in that regard. Have a microfiber handy for sure wiping off the screen often.

Tracking and zooming in/out on the people talking in the room works smoothly and clearly for both video and audio. Music is not audiophile quality obviously, but it can get quite loud without distorting and carries robust midrange for the average joe. Retail price is still more than I think it's worth, but cost for what you get is everyone's personal opinion.

Handy device for google ecosystem

Comes in handy for YouTube videos and things like weather reports, kitchen timer, answering trivia questions. I am probably not using it to its full potential yet, but I am working on that. Changing wifi settings is a bit more complicated than it should be. I like to periodically change the wifi and password for security reasons.

My wife has it in the kitchen and it has family vacation pics scrolling when the device is in screen saver mode. She also likes that she can ask google to turn on YouTubeTV and select her TV channel while cooking. I tell google to turn the lights off each night. We plan to add more programmed routines that integrate with our other smart home systems.

I love the easy interaction and having all devices under my control and the ability to allow others to have access to my google home.
