Having a display was a big plus as I could look at the Nest Doorbell if I heard something outside. It was so useful we put in into a second bedroom and also replaced the ceiling light with one that could be controlled by Google home.

Excellent gift for Mom

Even though she does not have any other smart device at home I bought with the idea of making it work as an e-photo frame that automatically downloads pictures from the Google Stream. It turned out to be much more useful than that. She is now using it for cooking recipes, daily news, videos and music from youtube.

Incredibly Useful

After we got it home and got it set up, we fell in love instantly. When it's inactive, it's an amazing digital picture frame. When it's active, it's always showing you useful information. The way it interacts with media is great. It can also be cast to like a Chromecast for shows, so it's like a mini TV, too.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup was as short and easy as it has always been through the Google Home app; the app will automatically detect the Home Hub and guide you through the setup process of connecting to WiFi and logging in to your Google account. I was a little surprised that the setup couldn’t be done on the display itself, but I guess it keeps it consistent with the other Home devices.
