I love using the google home. It is now my alarm clock, stereo, and all around information giver. Definitely makes my life easier. The display screen is a necessity as well.

Besides playing music, setting alarms, turn on/off your lights, there are a bunch of things you can do with this device. Still waiting for Samsung/LG to provide connectivity to Google home without having to use a bridge.

I use my display as an alarm clock/control hub in my bedroom. It is the perfect size for a nightstand and looks really good on it too! The speaker is a little better than that in the Google home mini, so that was an upgrade!

This device does so much. Plays music. Time and weather. Controls my smart devices through Google home. I put one in three different rooms and it serves as an intercom as well.

Really easy to use. Only thing I don’t care for is it from time to time talks to itself....like whose listening???? But works perfect with my LIFX lights and great for an alarm clock

Against recommendations, I did travel to visit family for Thanksgiving. (I get to do the cooking!) My daughter had one of these, and after seeing its capabilities, I just had to have one. I went online and ordered it immediately. Unfortunately, it was out of stock, probably because they are so popular, but it eventually showed up, and we are more than satisfied with its performance. Had a few issues getting it connected, but it was up and running in about 10 minutes, maybe less. I have discovered that, using my cell phone, I can broadcast messages back home from my office. The replies that I get list out as text. It's an amazing device!

This is perfect in the kitchen or as a really nice alarm clock in a bedroom. Speaker quality is good. Keep in mind there is not a camera on it, so can't be used for video calls.

The display and sound quality is great! I have the echo show 5 and for most things this responds much better. I like the slideshow also. What I don't like is the lack of video calling. The Echo Show5 has that feature. For this price point, it should have a camera!

If you already have Google Home devices in your house, a Home Hub is a perfect addition is a room like the Kitchen. It can be used to look up (YouTube) videos and instructions and, when in the kitchen, is a great resource when trying to quickly find cooking/baking instructions or recipes. The Home Hub also has a pretty good speaker, but the original Google Home is still a better solution for playing music (not counting the Home Max). It makes use of Google Duo as well, so you can place and receive Duo audio calls with it, which has worked very well every time I've used it for this purpose. When I was looking to purchase this, it was $99 (on sale) and the original Google Home was $79 (also on sale). I'm glad I decided to spend the extra $20 to get this one.

The Google nest hub was a great addition to my smart home setup. It allows me to change the lights, without having to use my phone, and displays useful information such as the weather. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking at smart home hubs.

This I GREAT!! I love it so much, I bought this as a gift for my mom and dad for Christmas and they love it they downloaded cartoons for my nephew and my mom watches CNN on it they do not agree with watching the same show sometimes so know they placed each of their google nest on their own sides of their beds and watch their own shoes that they want to watch... my mom can now watch recipes without touching a single screen and having to wash her hands constantly, she can now just say ''Hey Google, show me how to make this'' and boom there you go. a hands off the cross-contamination and hands on the food, it is simple and easy.

I personally love this Hub. I have it set up on my nightstand mostly for organization and productivity for my days. Because it can do that, it can speak out my schedule, tell me what I've got planned or just let me know the news/weather. And it connects with all your Google home products, so If you've got a connected video doorbell, if it rings you can have it show live video of who's at the door without even having to go and look yourself. Guess what? You can tell them to bug off as well from the comfort of your own couch! Screen is highly clear and very responsive to touch. Speakers are alright, but it's not meant to be a main speaker for your music, more so as the device that controls it all hands free.

    Best. Digital Picture Frame. Ever.

The Nest Hub Smart Display is handy and does some nifty things. But I believe its greatest function is when you use it as a digital picture frame. Let's start with the cool but questionably useful stuff: You can use it as a digital assistant - asking google for all sorts of stuff. You can do that with your phone too and you always have that with you so... what's the big deal? It can play music.. yeah.. the speakers are better than the ones on your smartphone but they're not .. amazing. A lot of affordable bluetooth speakers are better. It can control your smart home devices.. sure.. but you can do that with your smartphone too.. and that's frequently more convenient in my experience. It can answer questions (Hey Google..) Yes it can. But so can your smartphone.. and it's right in your hand not across the room like the Nest Hub.. or in another room.. You can watch videos on it.. really? You'd rather watch a video on this than your phone or your TV or your computer? (depending on where you are) It can give you directions/travel estimates.. but your phone does a much better job of this and YOU CAN TAKE IT WITH YOU. Video calls (using Google Duo). Well... It can do that.. kinda. It doesn't have a camera so you can talk to someone but they can't see you. So it can be a speakerphone kinda. Again - phone is better so.. why? OK - so what does this do that your phone doesn't do as well or better? I think it's two things. 1. Hands free recipe mode - this was a great idea and works really well. It's super handy to be able to work through a recipe step by step with the instructions on the screen in BIG FONT. You can easily control the progress with your voice (next step) with your hands are full/dirty when you're cooking. So. Yeah. Buy this and put it in the kitchen if you want to do that. 2. Digital photos. This is the magic stuff of Google. If you have your photos in Google Photos (and if you don't, you should), this thing can become an effortless super internet-enabled digital picture frame. Here's why. AI. Google is great at this. You can create a Live Album on Google Photos, select all the faces you want to see in it and configure your Nest Hub Smart Display to use your photos for the slideshow and *BAM* (it doesn't make that sound - that's just the magic happening) - you will enjoy a wonderful stream of pictures of people you love to see. And guess what? Other people can create live albums and share them with your Google account and you will see them too! Here comes the best part.. with Live Albums, you new pictures automagically enter the slideshow rotation if they have the faces you (or your friends) selected in the beginning! It's amazing. I see new pictures of my kids or grandkids the day after they are taken.. and don't have to do anything. Google AI also does also cool stuff like show you pictures of things from that date on previous years, or put pictures side by side that are related. It's pretty fun. It will auto-balance the color of the display to the lighting in the room and will automatically dim the display completely when the lights are out (no glowing at night). For the digital picture frame features alone, it's a winner and worth buying. After using one myself for a few months, I started giving them as gifts to my children and parents. I've had mine for about a year now and still think it's great. My grandson loves to look at it when he visits and swipe through the pictures of his family. Buy one.
