However, if you don't have a modem/router (mine is built into walls, I sign in online), don't bother. I have tried everything and haven't been able to use it in years. Shame.

We recommend avoiding the following networks for both performance and security concerns. These networks may cause issues, or might not even work with your Nest Hub at all:
- Mobile hotspots.
- Guest network, open networks, or isolated networks.
- DSL internet service with less than 2Mbps bandwidth.
- Captive portal networks.
- Enterprise 802.1x/RADIUS networks.

But for a person of a certain age, this screen is ridiculously small lol. I intend to purchase the larger screen hub. It is not as intuitive as I expected but maybe I will work better with larger hub
