replaced thermostat in house I just purchased and works as expected. Auto-away mode is nice, but it's dependent on the proximity sensor so even though you're home, if no one walks past it for a while, it'll go into that mode... Really don't know that it has until it starts to warm up.

We have benefited from this system with our upgraded York forced air furnace. After reading some of the reviews we originally hesitated but believe the system works best with newer furnaces. I love that I can reduce the heat through the app when I am away from home . We have only owned it for a couple of months so I can't say whether or not we are saving money but it has controlled the temperature nicely .

Cool because I can lock my teenage son out of altering the temperature Cool again for the Away feature which saves money and resources Cooler even still that when I'm away I can monitor the house temperature and humidity and alter the temperature from my phone before I arrive home

This impressive little piece of equipment is an excellent buy for techies! I recently installed this in my office and has saved me time and gas during really cold night when I leave the office but forget to adjust the temperature, I can use my phone to make the adjustment. Just lovely!!!

The hype is real. Very easy to install, looks great, and helps keep your energy cost low. I love the app feature that lets you turn the temp up/down from work, across the house, etc.

The nest remembers your heating habits: self-adjusts when you leave for work and come home. No complicated settings plus a quick way to turn down when you are away for awhile. You get reports and can access everything via your iphone...so easy. And it looks great on the wall!

I love my new NEST. Installation was simple, easy & quick. After having issues with NV energy "smart" thermostat, I am so glad we get rid of that one and bought this piece of art. Great technology and beautiful design.

Our home utilizes two HVAC systems, one for each floor. The Nest is the perfect way to keep the two in sync. Because it learns your habits you'll notice that the lower floor unit will cut off on its own if you tend to retreat to your upstairs bedroom at a certain time of night. Also, because we travel often the internet connectivity makes it easy to manage the temperature during the winter months.

Love that it has the ability to automatically sense when I'm home or not, that it keeps the fan running for 5 minutes after the air conditioning unit turns off to maximize the cold air it seems into the house, and that it pairs well with the nest connect. Was easy to install.

I am completely impressed with the features of this thermostat. I still haven't begun to see all the things this thermostat can do. I love the reports and the fact that I can control it from anywhere in the world.

Great device, from build, hardware & software, even packaging is in the top notch range; install was a breeze (just followed instructions). My only concern was regarding the battery (Charging), was unsure to have the "C wire" for constant charge, however, my system didn't need it, and as explained on NEST's website, the device will "Stealthily" grab power from the basic power wires. Physical & mobile device controls adds to the experience, with scheduling, track usage, and other software option.

To have the convenience to have control of your thermostat from any where in the area and have the temp set how you would like it to be when you get home is awesome. Saves on energy bills and app ready. I'm a fan....Money well worth it. A bit costly but still worth it.

The best feature is how it learns what you do and then figures out how to save you money. The next best feature is controlling your thermostat remotely so when you return home from a trip your home is cozy.

The NEST thermostat is awesome...took about 15 minutes to install and another 5-10 minutes to download the app on my phone and iPad...use is easy and I have enjoyed its since I installed it. Takes thermostats to the 21st century level and far as technology.

It was super easy to setup, it only took a few minutes to remove the old one and rewire the new. The programming was easy with the dial, but much easier after hooking up to the wireless and using the nest app on my phone and iPad. I love being able to control everything from the app, like if it is too cold upstairs and I just want to turn up the heat for a minute I don't even have to get up. It also automatically sets things for when I am away and gives a report out for energy usage for the month. The only thing I wish it had was the outside temperature on the unit, as it would be so easy to see as I walk by.

The Nest is the best programmable/learning thermostat you can buy. Simple installation and anyone can use it with minimal instruction. High quality. It has cut our energy usage and will most likely pay for itself within a few months. Very happy with this purchase.

Never installed a thermostat in my life, took about 20 minutes with taking the old one out, very easy step by step installation and then the thermostat powers up and it takes you through step by step set up. Love having the ability of controlling it from my app

Love the nest. Very simple to install and use. Very easy to program and change temps until it learns your patterns. Pricey but worth it if you want a simple, smart thermostat that is very powerful.

Took me minutes to install but just be sure you have the power to your furnace turned off before you start. I blew a small fuse in the furnace just by pulling the old thermostat. You can control the thermostat from your phone and it learns your patterns and comes up with an automatic schedule. You can also put it in "away mode" so that you save energy that way. It's a nice looking piece of equipment that's fun and easy to use that will pay for itself in your energy savings.

Installation was simple after first faulty unit we received. Going on a month now and the air conditioning turns on less frequently than with the previous thermostat. I truly enjoy the ability to set a schedule and how the unit has learned our preferences.
