Not only is the nest thermostat neat to look at it's also a great conversation piece. Easy to install and easy to use really enjoying it.

I've had the Nest for about a month and it has lived up to my expectations so far. Setup took less than 15 minutes, which is incredible compared to other programmable thermostats I've installed. And the app has been super convenient and has saved me from a number of trips to the hallway to adjust it manually. It's too soon to track energy savings on my utility bill, but the Nest does help me take more ownership of my energy use as I can easily view my schedule and adjust the temp settings remotely to avoid cooling or heating an empty house. Bottom line: I needed to replace my previous thermostat and the Nest was the perfect choice for me.

Really easy to install, setup and program. My energy company offered a $100 rebate so be sure to check yours to see if one exists.

The thermostat was easy to install and seems to be a very handy item to have. I like the nest application available for your phone for adjusting the settings when not in the house.

Haven't had it long enough to have seen the difference in my electric bill yet, but I love the convenience of being able to control it on my phone and it connects to my drop cam.

It works as advertised. My wife didn't like spending the money on one but has now changed her mind since she has seen the benefits.

I used the Nest for about 20 days, liked it, but ultimately defined to get an Ecobee3 instead. If you have a very simple setup, and don't want to fiddle with it, I'd definitely recommend a Nest. If you are a techie/tinkerer, and want deeper control, the Ecobee3 is awesome.

The Nest is a great idea in theory. It looks beautiful, it's easy to use and ultimately saves energy. However, I gave it 3 stars because it's not as compatible as the manufacturer claims. Even though they have the compatibility checker, it's misleading. If your system doesn't have the "C" common wire, then the Nest will "steal" power by constantly powering the system on and off. It's not good for the HVAC system. Also, check the compatibility of your wireless router too. On the Nest blog, you will find a list of routers that don't work as well. The irony is these routers are extremely common and some of the best in the market. Before purchasing, just make sure you check all your system to save some headaches. Other than that, it's pretty cool.

I like how easy this product is to use. Telephone support in getting it set up was fabulous. I know I will save on electricity. An electrician set it up for me because he was wiring another job at the time. (I could have done it myself.) He said he has never seen anything like this thermostat and was quite impressed with it. I feel like "Big Brother" is watching me because of the way it monitors our activity in the house. It is definitely a keeper.

Been installed for just over a month and saw a change in first heating bill since. Very intuitive and does learn as they say. The app works well and is absolutely convenient...

I did end up having it professionally installed as I was unable to do it myself. I like that I can manage the temperature remotely from my phone. Customer service is great.

This thermostat works very well. You should know that even though it will "work" with a 4 wire connection. You actually really need the 5th wire to keep the device charged.

Love having the capibility of being abe to use my phone to control my thermostat from where ever I am. The nest gets to know your schedule and adapts to it. East to install and a great product overall.

The coolest thermostat ever. Easy set up, cool design, the app is easy to use. Only issue I have is it is not recognizing my W wire. I have never had to use the heat in Arizona so its not a big deal. Probably something wrong with the wiring and not the Nest.

Still learning the ins and outs with the scheduling and extras, but so far it has been great. Easy install, easy setup, easy to use. Several comments on how good it looks.

Great thermostat that allows you to control your temperature from your phone as well as while your away. It helps save you money by keeping you bill down. It's great.

We were having problems with our furnace and had tried to get it serviced prior to going on vacation, was unable to have it serviced but was worried about leaving for vacation. I bought the nest and was able to monitor our furnace while on vacation. Perfect!!!!
