So far the Nest has worked as advertised. It learned my daily schedule in about a week and started setting my auto away for me when I was away at work.

This thermostat has saved a ton of money and energy during the time that I have had it. It also looks great!

I first found out about "Nest" on my computer. After I saw a one-hundred dollar rebate from our utility company, WE, I decided to purchase "Nest". I called our local furnace dealer and was told that product was good for "snow birds". I ordered the "Nest" and found it easy to install. I enjoy using my phone and computer to work the "Nest" and found it has many useful settings.

This is my second wifi thermostat and Nest is the best. If you're an Apple lover this will be the thermostat for you. Installed easy and looks great.

I wanted to wait at least a week before posting any review. The product was super easy to install, between their website and the pamphlet they provide.

We love the Nest Thermostat! It can be programmed for away times and set from your iphone.. .all to help you save money and conserve energy! Great product!

I'm a frequent traveller and nest thermostat provides convenience to control the temperature to make sure I don't get frozen pipe during winter time

Honestly couldn't be happier! The luxury of being able to control your thermostat from anywhere there is wifi or 3G is just fantastic. This summer has been a humid one and The Nest after just a week of adjusting has learned to adjust it to out schedule and I can already see the savings from my electric bill. A must have for everyone the modern design seems to fit in any household!

At first I was very hesitant to purchase such an expensive thermostat and thought it was gimmicky. We purchased it anyway and it has really impressed us and lived up to the hype. This thermostat remembers how long it takes to reach a certain temperature, tells you when you are saving money and being able to control the A/C from the app is my favorite feature. Great purchase!

This is an excellent product! Extremely easy to install, set up and use. This is my second one I bought. I should of installed them way earlier!

it does what it says it does, it learns, schedules, lowers the temp when no one is home, relates outside temp and humidity. worth the expense.

The best way to sum up the value of this thing is how much peace of mind I have now that I can leave the house and not worry that I left my A/C or heat running all day. I can even check to see what the temperature is in my home and adjust it to take care of my two dogs while still keeping costs reasonable. I also love that the system lets me know when I'm being thrifty with settings by showing a bright green leaf when I've set the system at the right level to achieve the best savings and responsibility with my energy consumption. Just buy it!

It was easy to install, but when I needed basic questions answered, their customer service was there and took their time answering my questions.

Have 2 offices with 2 different businesses sharing one HVAC system. The tenant with the thermostat would leave with system set to low or to high for the other office. With the WiFi setting the temp. can be controlled from anywhere and by multiple parties and our problem was solved. Only complaint is instructions that come with nest are inadequate and had to go online for better instructions. Not that big a deal but be prepared.

I've been using Nests at my house and my weekend condo since 2012. Bought this one for an upstairs zone. Gen 2 is thinner, otherwise unimproved. Major flaws: 1. Nest uses only overcrowded 2.4 GHz Wifi, not newer 5 GHz Wifi, so condo unit has trouble staying online due to neighbors' interference. Bad news for apartment/condo owners. 2. Nest displays indoor humidity but does not use it to set a feels-like temp. Missed opportunity! The more the AC runs the lower the indoor humidity. In summer a 77 degree setting feels chilly in the afternoon because AC has been running for hours, or sticky at 4am because the AC has been mostly off. 3. There is no wired Ethernet option. 4. There is no "hold" option for weeks when I telecommute from home office. 5. There is no option to schedule when Away Mode switches to Home Mode. I have to change it remotely every Friday before I head to my condo. Nest can automatically switch when it "sees" me arrive, but who wants to spend an hour in a 60 degree condo waiting for the heat to catch up! The whole auto-Away mode idea is impractical for several reasons. Nest needs to improve or cut the price or both IMHO.

There are many good things about this product but the auto-away feature is my favorite. I do not have to re bee to turn it off when I am away and even better is the fact that I can turn it back on remotely when I am ready to return so the house is comfortable upon arrival. The reports on usage are welcome too.

This is a beautifully designed and very attractive thermostat. It was very easy to install (did it myself) in less than ten minutes. Good instructions and on line help if needed and it works. I would ask the company for multi- zone discounted package as buying 6 of these is quite an extravagance.

While most gadgets are exensive and don't offer real value, the nest thermostat cut $100 off my first bill after getting it. Installation and setup was easy, and the software is well designed. Overall controlling my themostat through the Android app has been way more convenient, and most importantly it doesn't add any hassle or some other device to pay attention to.

Super easy to use so far and looks great. Doing exactly what I wanted it to do. Took about 5 minutes to install. Would definitely recommend.

The nest is awesome!!! It offers the convenience of being able to turn on/off or adjust my thermostat without ever having to run downstairs!!!
