I recommend this item to anyone who is looking to save money on there utilities. The Nest learns from you and creates a dynamic schedule. You can also configure it while your away from home.

We simply love our nest. Be warned though that this requires a "5 wire" install and many houses aren't wired as such. We had our HVAC pro set us up, but it required ordering new wiring to go with our nest. The Nest handles our 2-stage furnace nicely. No complaints and it is very easy to use

May lose power source if you are living in a cold weather region. I live in Wisconsin and when the temperature dipped below 0 degrees, the thermostat lost power source because it is wired to the cold air compressor. It was an easy fix to restore power but it did require a phone call to Nest customer service which was over a 30 minute wait. When temperatures go back above 10 degrees I will need to change back the wiring set up.

So easy to set up. Just wish it sent you a text or email if the temp went below a certain level.

This smart thermostat is so efficient that it has learned our cooling habits and raises and lowers the temperatures of the zone without us ever touching it! Amazing! We will be purchasing another for a second zone in our home

Nest thermostat is a great product, easy to install, could be controled with the app when you're not home, learns your habits and adapts.

The nest is a nice addition to saving some money on electric bills. My electric company gave me a rebate and it saves me money every month. The programming is a little quirky, but overall I'd definitely recommend. Love that I can control it from my iPhone!

The installation was easy and once completed it looks really nice. The controls are easy to adjust and basically after a few days it knows your temperature habits. Um going to buy a second one for my vacation home. Love the wifi control functions very easy to adjust away from home.

You know about the hype, now buy into it. Great mobile app that allows you to control and monitor your home at the touch of a button. System is extremely easy to use with automatic updates.

This is the second Nest thermostat I've installed. I am using this for a location in a small business. The one we installed in my home paid for itself within a few months based on our heating and cooling cost savings.

Its amazing what they have done with the thermostat. Love controlling temperatures from my phone whether I'm home or away. Learns your patterns and adjusts automatically. very cool!

It seems like a lot of money to have control of the HVAC system but.... you must remember the software that is running behind. I am a big fan of the Nest and wish I would have purchased it earlier. I can't wait till they have suite of products. The software is nice and intuitive.

Well worth the 250, saving after one month. The learning feature is tremendous and I'm able to control when weather changes while I'm out of town. The other options will not be worth any cost saving you incur upfront.

Love this thermostat! Easy to use! I love the energy history and learning features! I don't even have to get up to turn the heat/ AC on. Just go to my app and control everything!

Works great. Setup and installation was simple, two wires coming out of my wall, figured out where they go on the back of the unit, voila. Use has been simple, love using the Android app to control the thermostat.

Bought this for my new home. Love that I can set the temperature from my phone and that it learns my schedule. nest also gives you monthly reports so you can monitor your use.

It is definitely an upgrade from the standard set back thermostat and very easy to setup. With the smartphone app it makes it really convenient to adjust the settings should your personal schedule change so that you can better manage your energy usage and reduce your expenses.

A friend installed 2 Nest thermostats for me as I thought it might require a drill, etc. But, no--the Nests fit using the holes from the old thermostats and both were installed in less than an hour. Connecting to the internet took a bit longer for one that was out of range of the wifi router. After purchasing and setting up an extender, not only did the Nest connect easily, but the overall service in the house is faster! Another thing that bears mentioning is that my heat is radiant--and the previous thermostats caused the system to use more fuel than necessary--propane @ $2+ per gallon. So far I can't say enough good about the Nest.

We love this product. The ability to set the temp from our Iphones is the best part of this. (need to install free app). Seems pretty accurate temperature wise. The self-learning schedule feature is kind of unrealistic for us as with a young family no week has the same exact schedule so we just disable it and turn up the heat when we're 10 minutes from home. Looks great and sturdy. Only have had it a month or so but it's pretty great.
