It's probably too early to review the savings from nest. But, it's a beautiful piece of technology. Integration is very simple. Most valuable feature so far is to be able to control the home temperature via wifi.

Had a bit of a problem getting it to operate correctly. Did exactly what it said do. Well I had a different setup and had to call. Returned my call and I had to switch one wire. I have an electric heatpump and a forced air propane furnace. Works great. The best part is seeing what is happening at home while away. We travel and the Iphone shows exactly where my temp is. We set it to not go below 45 degrees. Should we want we can change the temperature from anywhere we have wify. Great product.

Decided to finally get it after the gas company offered a 100 dollar rebate. No regrets, liked it so much I went back to get a second one for my second zone

I installed two Nest units in my home and they worked great until it was time to switch from heat to AC. Unit on main floor would start the AC and after 30 seconds to 2 minutes would go into a "delay". Customer service was helpful and after a new base was sent out to me the problem stayed the same. Turned out after another round of phone service I would have to run a C wire from the transformer on my furnace. Normally that would have been OK but after snaking the wall I found multiple "cats" and didn't want to go ahead with fix. I have returned both Nest units and installed two LUX units that work Great. If they had worked I would say yes to recommending to friend. Sorry NEST!

We've had this camera for a couple of months and truly enjoy it. The resolution is good, even in low levels of light and it's comforting to check in on our pets when we're out of town for a quick weekend.

The use and set up is easy, the app is a great extra function. The leaf helps show the most energy efficient temperature.

Pros Really easy to setup. Remote changes with the nest app. Looks cool Cons The learning feature does not seem to work all that well. i've had it for quite some time and I'm still constantly making changes. The temperature seems to read on the hot side. If it says it's 73, it's usually 74-76 in reality.

The Nest was easy to install and setup. The mobile app is great so that you can control the thermostat when you are away from home. We are hoping that the Nest will save us money on our electricity bill.

I love being able to turn up the thermostat from bed on a cold day. I love being able to program my thermostat and that it learns my habits and changes the temperature settings based on my setting history.

I had done research on several thermostats and settled on the Nest because it could be installed with my existing wiring, did not need batteries, and was easy to program. Two out of three are correct. About 2 weeks after it was installed, my fan started going on/off every 30 seconds. I found out that the Nest "steals" power for the battery if a common line is not installed, and this behavior can cause the fan to oscillate. I had to completely disconnect the Nest unit until I was able to get a common wire installed (luckily we are do-it-yourselfers so were able to get this done with minimal cost). Once it was in place, the Nest has been fine. If you are buying based on the wiring information available on Nest's site, do not believe it. Make sure you have a common wire if you get a Nest, or get a thermostat that uses batteries.

The installation took some work but this is coming from a guy with zero HVAC experience. Nest makes it easy to install by providing step by step instructions. I am very happy with this product so far.

Great product, great web based control, easy to control, and lower energy bills. What's not to like. The $100 gas company rebate made it irresistible!

I dont have personal experience with this device. I gave it to my dad for xmas, and all I know is that he definately sees it as an upgrade vs his prior thermostat. Also, I dont have any feedback on actual energy savings at the time of this review, as a year over year comparison is really needed for this.

It is a great thermostat for your house. It learns your schedule and turns off your AC if your are not at home. After the first week you do not need to touch it anymore. Excellent for energy saving.

I added solar panels, all led bulbs, had an energy audit and added $3500 in insulation, sealing, caulk, etc. Now the Nest is the icing on the cake.

Haven't tried other smart thermostats but this one is definitely worth the money. Fairly easy to set up if you're into tech gadgets. The user interface is very clean and the feature set is excellent.

Great product, but be careful if you have dual power fuel, professional electrical technician is required for installation. Nest customer service is really great and excellent in service. Nest reimbursed us for the professional installation after our own installation didn't work out properly.

This item is fantastic! It extremely easy to install and begin working immediately. My house was built in 1929 with an addition in 1969. The heating system was updated with a mercury thermostat. Over the years the device became pretty obsolete and I new it was time to replace it. But once I did (replace it with the Nest) I noticed an almost instant change in the efficiency of my homes heating and cooling system. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Money well spent.

It was easy to install and program. I like being able to control it remotely. We are excited to see if it saves us money.
