Excellent thermostat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Overall, it has been great. We have had it almost a month. In the area we live in, we often use the heater on the morning and ac in the afternoon. The settings are great - it automatically changes between the two.

This thing had made controlling the temperature in the house effortless. The auto schedule and auto away keeps the house at very comfortable temperatures for our animals. I would recommend this for everyone.

Bought this for my mom and installed it myself in under 15 minutes. It comes with stickers for labeling your old thermostat wires, after that it's just a matter of unhooking the old and hooking up the new.

Not thrilled with how "rickety" it feels once it's on the wall but other than that looks nice and works well.

The design is great. It looks great on my wall. Love how it works, having replaced a non-programmable thermostat. My only concern was the installation, which went relatively quickly but not without trial and error. As with all Apple-like products, I never feel that enough information is provided for set-up.

I think this is the best new product on the market today with the ability to save the consumer money on heating costs. Its a marvel of engineering for such a small device and the design is sleek and modern.

I bought the new Honeywell Lyric and The Nest and this thermostat was hands down way way better!! The quality is amazing and it is so easy to use!!

A dream to install, even come with a handy tool and wire stickers. The device is well built, nicely designed and intuitive to use. However, when compared to other offerings it lacks features. With such a nice interface they missed the opportunity to use it to display home health and meteorlogical information. I wish I had gone for the Honeywell or similar.

This is my second Nest, having moved and leaving my first with the old house. It is an amazingly intuitive and cool device that pays for itself in only a few months. Even my non Geek friends are impressed.

The Nest is just what I was looking for, a totally programable theremostat. But so much more in that it can learn your living patterns on its own. Looking forward to see how it works in the winter.

I bought this after seeing one at my friend'place. Setting up was breeze. Works well. Worth the cost . It will save you money over a year or so.

I've had Nest thermostats since they came out and this is my first 2nd Generation. I love these things! I can control the thermostat from anywhere in the world with my iPhone app. Simply a great product!

I self installed, it did need a power supply line. Love being able to turn ac down if I'm going to be home early.

I love how it know when I'm home and when I'm not so it can adjust the temperature as needed. The phone control is awesome, we purchased 2 and I can control both from my phone with no issues.

This is a "learning" thermostat, and some people don't quite understand this. Forget the old ideas of "programming" your thermostat. Just use it and dial up/down as needed and it will create the program. Quite simple, and you will quickly realize that you actual behavior is quite divergent from what you think your program should be. Once you use the nest, those old boring beige thermostats will appear so unsophisticated and you will see how utterly complex they are.

I had always wanted to get a NEST thermostat. I mean - a network connected thermostat, so you can turn up the heat on your way home from work (or turn down the AC). I resisted, because I thought it would be hard to install and setup. Well - from the time I unboxed it to the time I was connected to it via my ipad only took 30 minutes. It was simple to install, easy to set, and even sends me a monthly summary. I only wonder why I didn't get this sooner!
