The Nest has been our favorite gift to ourselves. Not only does it work great, we love the learning part, it's also vey stylish and fits well in our modern decor. We also love the other Nest products and have already gotten the carbon monoxide detector to complement our Nest family.

I'm on a special billing plan offered by my power company which sets the rate higher during specific times of day. The good. This works great. Easy to program. Access from your cell phone or any Internet connected computer. The bad. The learn mode is a mystery.. The device started going to "away" mode for no real reason I could determine. I just deactivated it. Perhaps they should provide a cause/effect matrix.

Although this system is a bit on the expensive side, it will pay for itself in time. I love the fact that i can control my thermostat from anywhere and save money by using energy efficient temperatures. I would definitely recommend this product for someone trying to save money in energy cost

We love our NEST. It's great to help us keep the house comfortable, but not over do the heating. It 'thinks' based on the patterns we've taught it by adjusting here and there. I'm not patient enough to try to figure out how much it's saving us $$, but it's bound to be. Love it.

This item never finished setting up. Furnish worked over for 2 weeks constantly. Figured it wasn't the product for me.

WOW! What a device. I have saved over $10 in the first month with similar temperatures as last year. Can't wait to see it pay me back quicker this summer. Great app for iPhone and iPad. Call you utility provider and ask for an incentive. They have to know people want them.

It's only been in play for a month with minimal usage--so, the jury is still out. Install was a breeze. Setup was very easy. It would be a no-brainer to add such options like having the fan run on a timer for X amount of time. I would also like to see a clock on the display. And, the several "disconnects" from network I have had are inexplicable and slightly annoying this soon out of the gate.

I'm not sure if I could RAVE much more about The Nest than I do on Facebook, email and phone calls to friends and family. This thermastat is just amazing! (if you like gadgets and controlling from your iphone)

Great modern style for a thermostat. Installation was completed by my HVAC company with our new system. It works great and we love the heat and cool combo setting because we never have to adjust it. Just set the temps you want for each setting. The remote networking is great too... works as expected and you can easily change the settings from your phone. Worth the money!

This unit was very easy to install, and I was very impressed with the quality of the product and accessories in the box. The monthly e-mails to show energy usage and savings are a great bonus as well.

This was a wedding gift. I have no idea how it is working or if it has even been installed yet.

We had a GE Programmable Communicating Thermostat as part of a Detroit Edison Smart Current program. I was able to view and adjust temp through my Iphone. When Iphone software was updated by Apple, the app for the phone stopped working and then DTE decided to end their test program for Smart Currents. Hopefully the Nest will replace my old thermostat.

I'm amazed to see that how efficiently it's controlling my cooling needs after learning for two weeks. I love it's auto away feature and I can clearly see energy consumption pattern. I'm positive that I will see difference down the road.

This is my second nest in our house. I can control both thermostats from anywhere which allows me to adjust when we are away. Works with the. Heat, AC, and our whole home humidifier.
