The secong gen minis sound much better than the first gen. I have two of these, as well as a first gen, and a Hub and Hub Max. They all work great. I control everything with voice commands, from my lights, to my home theater, to my Roomba. At first I was against smart speakers, now I'm trying to turn the lights on in the garage and a work with my voice.

This is a great smart speaker with good sound quality for a cheap price. Easy to set up and use right out of the box.

I recently purchased a new Nest mini to replace my older home minis simply for the better speaker quality. It was a great purchase and always will recommend these over the home mini even at full price. I also love the wall mount feature more than I thought I would. I paired 2 together and have a mini surround sound setup near my bed on a wall mount. It is fantastic!

This product is exactly what my daughter wanted. When I first purchased a Google Nest Mini for the family room, my kids fell in love with it. They could ask it questions or have it play music that they loved. Eventually, it became more than my wife and I could handle, so we decided to get them Minis for each of their rooms. My daughter really wanted a blue one, and it just so happened that Best Buy had one in stock, when no one else did. It is very easy to use. My toddlers can use it and are currently trying to learn Spanish from it. It also seamless interconnects to my other Home devices, so that is a plus. No more yelling through the house, when I can just broadcast. Great product for smart home users.

The Nest is my first foray into setting up a smart home, and it was incredibly easy to do so. Just download the app and it practically sets itself up. Linking it to a pair of Kasa smart plugs took but a moment, and now I can say "Hey Google, turn off the lights" to kill all the lights in the house with my voice! I'm excited to see what else I can do with this device.

Great sound quality and a good way to control other smart home products. I also loved the free trial of youtube premium (which included youtube music) when i purchased it and it is easily the best music streaming service as far as personalizing your experience.

This is a fun little gadget! If you pair it with a variety of other "smart" items, you can have a pretty lazy life! It will turn on lights, it will lock doors, it will play music, it will set alarms. As I say, you need to buy the OTHER smart things to do all this, but it's very convenient. It also plays music on command, and occasionally it picks up something from TV that causes it to randomly blurt out information you didn't even want. That's always worth a laugh!

The sound quality is better than expected at this size and price (black friday sales!), and I have been using this for automating lights upstairs. I am very impressed with the built-in microphone understanding me clearly, and even my very young kids. Great for voice commands on bulbs, rgb bulbs, music, and random facts.

I love this little speaker. I have it in my room and mainly use it to ask google for the current weather and for white noise at night but the sound quality is pretty good for a small speaker.

Much better than Amazon products, unfortunately, I have a small fortune invested in Amazon stuff (Amazon Echos (2), Dots (6) . . . oops, make that 5 as one had to be thrown in the trash --- broke after the warranty period ran out). The product is clearer, faster, and knows so much more than any of the Amazon products. Oh, well . . .

I'm genuinely impressed with this Nest Mini smart speaker ... I actually own the original Google mini smart speaker and although there's not much of a difference between the two if I were going to purchase one the Nest Mini would be my choice. It sounds better and in my opinion seems to be a bit quicker than the original Google Mini.

Purchased to replace Amazon devices. Definitely an improvement. If you pair two of these together for music they actually sound good for what they are. Problems with pairing them. 1 - one of the units becomes the control unit and the other unit doesn't listen to your voice. so you will lose some functionality. 2 - the second unit sometimes doesn't keep sync with the primary unit. A jack for music output would be nice but I guess that is to old fashioned for Google.

This Google Nest Mini was wonderful in helping my mother who was losing her eyesight. She could ask questions, listen to to music, etc. It was easy to set up, and easy to use. Even better, I bought it on an excellent sale price for her.
