The speakers is loud enough and with a couple more creates a loud surround sound experience. My only complaint is the base isn't very clear or loud.

If you haven't already, we recommend changing the audio settings of Nest Mini from the Google Home app to improve its bass and treble.
Here's how:
- Connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi network as your Nest Mini.
- Open the Google Home app.
- Tap your Nest Mini.
- At the top right corner of the screen, tap the Equalizer Settings.
- Move the sliders under Bass and Treble to adjust.

Walked into bestbuy for a pickup in store order and these were on sale for half off, so i decided to grab one. I needed it for a gift for someone but if it wouldnt have worked out to give it to them i wasgoing to keep it. But i ended up gifting it i set it up for the person and instantly wanted one for myself so i actually stopped by bestbuy today 12/31/21 and got another one for me.

Kids love it in the bedroom. They use it alot setting alarms or playing music during homework. Does not take up any space.

I would not replace any 1st gen with the 2nd gen speakers unless if you have an area where you use the assistant quite a bit. The on board assistant engine is much faster.

They are small but produce great sound. Simple request for alarms, timers and to dim lights or lower the AC are easy. Have one in almost every room of the house.

Works with most IFTTT technology. I can control many devices from different manufacturers. Voice technology is always learning.

Nest has better sound recognition and can be wall mounted without additional hardware. Not much more beyond that. If you have to choose between the two, go with Nest Mini.

Hook on the back is nice to hang without having to purchase separate hanger.

Research revealed it seems to be a common problem. Really liked it before the problem. Good size and look. Returned for the Amazon Echo Dot.

Solid product for simple smart home devices

It is just an OK audio speaker, with not a lot of bass output, most likely due to the size of its circuitry. It could do a better job of spatial imagining. I have paired it with another Nest Mini in the same room, to try and produce a stereo image. Build quality is relatively cheap. This product was on sale for $25 during Christmas. I would have felt much better spending $25 on the second one rather than $50. Does not work with some smart devices without a hub (didn't work with my main Samsung Smart TV). Set-up on some non-Google affiliated devices can be a bit tricky for non-techie people. Overall, it's ok. A little over priced at $50.

We´re aware that everyone will always have their own preference when it comes to sound quality. For this reason, we have enabled adjustment of the sound settings for our Google Nest devices, including Nest Mini. We recommend trying out this adjustment to see which audio settings fits your taste:
Adjust bass and treble level:
- Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi or linked to the same account as your Chromecast, or speaker or - display.
- Open the Google Home app.
- Tap the device you want to adjust and then Settings and then Audio and then Equalizer.
- Adjust Bass and Treble level.
