We added this one to our master bath so my wife could use it to stream music while she showers and gets ready for work.

My son set it up so that we can talk to each other in different rooms. We even use it as alarm clocks to make sure we are all awake in the mornings.

The new device works great with additional features but still has some voice recognition issues... Good that we were able to buy it at the Thanksgiving sale.

The volume tends to be low even at the highest range. It is nice to get up in the morning and be able to ask about weather and news. I feel more secure with it because I can ask it to call emergency if I have one.

All 6 were on sale 18 to 27 dollars and for the money that are worth it.

Google Assistant might activate when you didn't intend it to because it incorrectly detected that you wanted its help - for instance when there is a noise that sounds like ""Hey Google,"" or you manually activate your device accidentally. If that happens, and your Web & App Activity is turned on, you can say, ""Hey Google, that wasn't for you,"" and the Assistant will delete what you said from My Activity. You can also review and delete your Assistant interactions in My Activity at any time. If Google Assistant activates when you didn't intend it to, and your Web & App Activity setting is disabled, your Assistant interaction will not be stored in My Activity. To better tailor Google Assistant to your environment, you can adjust how sensitive your Assistant is to activation phrases (like ""Hey Google"") through the Google Home app for smart speakers and smart displays.
We keep your personal information private, safe, and secure. By default, we don't retain your audio recordings on Google servers. You can decide to save your audio in your Google Account to make Google speech products more helpful to you and better for everyone. Very convenient and the ability to setup speaker group is awesome. Cheapest way to obtain whole house audio. These pack more bass than the first generation.
