The features are expanding as google develops them. The Nest Mini works with my Sony TV and it works very well for hands free navigation.

There are several reasons that can affect the performance and connectivity of your Nest Mini and its Google Assistant. Your network may be working correctly if your other devices are working without any issues, but let’s make sure that this issue is not caused by a weak or spotty connection and see if your Nest Mini experience will improve:
- Check for possible interference. Appliances like your microwave oven, refrigerator or even your neighbors Wi-Fi network may cause interference with your Nest speaker.
- Check for possible congestion. Removing some of your connected devices may help relieve some bandwidth space.
- Ensure that your Nest speaker is in line of sight with your Wi-Fi router to get the best signal strength and Wi-Fi coverage.
- Restart your router, your modem and your Nest Mini.
Also, If you’re Google Assistant activating on its own, you can control how often Google Assistant responds to voice commands with the “Hey Google” sensitivity setting. This setting lets you choose how sensitive devices are to phrases that sound like “Hey Google” or “Ok Google.” Google Assistant might activate when you don't say “Hey Google” or “Ok Google” when it detects something that sounds similar. And sometimes might not activate when you say “Hey Google” or “Ok Google,” particularly in a noisy environment. Please see the steps below:
- Open your Google Home app
- Select your Nest Mini
- At the top right, tap the Settings (Gear) icon
- Then tap Audio.
- Then tap "Hey Google" sensitivity and adjust the slider to make your Nest Mini more responsive to the hotword.

Google Assistant might activate even if you don't say “Hey Google” or “Ok Google” when it detects something that sounds similar. Also, it might not activate when you say “Hey Google” or “Ok Google,” particularly in a noisy environment. Retraining your Nest speaker, to better recognize your voice, and adjusting the Hotword sensitivity may be helpful with the issue. You may follow the steps on these help articles:

I can turn my lights on and off, set timers, alarms, listen to music, play ambient noise when I sleep, add items to my shopping list and more. Is it listening to me ALL OF THE TIME? Maybe, but I imagine my smart phone is too.

Don't expect it to be loud and fill a room while listening to music. This model has added a mounting hole to the back so that you may mount this dvice to a wall.
