    I love this Google nest! There's so much you can do with it! Not sure how I managed without it in the past!

    Came free with TV purchase. Disconnects from computer when in blue tooth mode way too often.

    There’s a lot of latency when you make a request. Doesn’t respond as fast as my 1st gen smart speaker. Also since the ability to play music in tandem with all your google speakers/minis was taken away I enjoy this product less.

      Hi ChristopherA, thank you for sharing your review on Nest Mini and we're sorry to hear that your experience with the device was less than ideal when compared to the previous version. We suggest that you retrain your Nest Mini to better recognize your voice as this may help with voice control. We also suggest adjusting the Hotword sensitivity as it may also be helpful with the issue. You may follow the steps below to help improve your experience:

      Retrain Voice Match:
      - On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app.
      - At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Assistant settings and then Voice Match.
      - Tap Teach your Assistant your voice again and then Retrain.

      Change Nest Mini's Hotword sensitivity:
      - Open your Google Home app.
      - Select your Nest Mini.
      - At the top right, tap the Settings (Gear) icon.
      - Then tap Audio.
      - Then tap "Hey Google" sensitivity and adjust the slider to make your Nest Mini more responsive to the Hotword.

    recommended that i get the nest miniw/ google asst. since i have a 4k smart tv. so far no problems

      Hi John,

      Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We're sorry to hear you're having issues with Nest Mini’s microphone. Please make sure there’s nothing on top of the fabric cover because the microphones are under it. If you haven't already, you can restart your Google Nest Mini.

      To restart Google Nest Mini:
      1. Disconnect the power cable from the Google Nest Mini.
      2. Leave unplugged for approximately 1 minute.
      3. Reconnect power cable back into the device​.

      If still unresolved, you can perform a factory data reset on Google Nest Hub, then set up again. Here’s how:

      -On the side of your device, switch the mic off. The LEDs will turn orange.
      -Press and hold the center of the Nest Mini, where the lights are on top.
      -After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process.
      -Continue to hold for about 10 seconds more until you hear a sound confirming the device is resetting.

    Great speaker. Alexia Dot is a little easier to use and had more features. But good for a freebie.

    Works great. Purchased one for upstairs and down, but picks up on both sometimes, however, hasn't been an issue. Only mention it because you may only need one in a two story. :)

    We love the Next Mini. We have several of them in various rooms around the house and use them a lot to broadcast to fellow family members, listen to music, ask questions.
