For some reason, these speakers drop their casting connection frequently and are laggy with changing music on Spotify. I use an iPhone so I can only speak of my experience with iOS. The Bluetooth also drops frequently too.

We recommend trying out some troubleshooting steps that may be helpful with the Spotify issue:
- Uninstall and reinstall the Spotify app on your phone.
- Reboot your phone after that and your Nest Mini.
- If the first two steps didn't work, unlink Spotify in the Home app, then link it back through Google Assistant.
- Go to Spotify Settings and toggle a setting called view local devices only on and then off.

It'll do a lot of stuff, but I don't have a lot of other NEST stuff besides a thermostat in my house. Remember if you have the switch on, it is listening for "Hey Google" all the time (take that as you wish.
