Besides controlling the volume by voice or by touch, you can also control the volume of the Google Assistant, your media, timers, and alarms using the Google Home app. Here’s how:
- Make sure your mobile device or tablet is connected to the same Wi-Fi network or linked to the same account as your display.
- Open the Google Home app Google Home app.
- To adjust the volume, tap Media .

I have Alexa and she is so far superior over Google nest. Needless to say I return the Google nest.
