It can hear you in semi-loud environments like a fan or a tv and understand what you’re saying. I recommend this over an Echo because they’re much more versatile and can handle more complex commands, just requires some knowledge of how technology works

One of the reasons why your Nest Mini may not appear for streaming is that the Wi-Fi network may be congested at times. We recommend rebooting the Nest Mini device and the Wi-Fi router to reestablish the connection between your devices.

Use it as an alarm, check the weather, and timer as well as white noise to go to sleep. I also own the first version and while I really can't see much of a difference between the two they both work great! I am still getting use to all of the features but am very happy with it!

Adjusting your Nest Mini's mic sensitivity and retraining it to better recognize your voice can be helpful with the issue. Check out the steps below:
Retrain Voice Match:
- On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app.
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Assistant settings and then Voice Match.
- Tap Teach your Assistant your voice again and then Retrain.
We also recommend changing Nest Mini's hotword sensitivity:
- Open your Google Home app.
- Select your Nest Mini.
- At the top right, tap the Settings (Gear) icon.
- Then tap Audio.
- Then tap "Hey Google" sensitivity and adjust the slider to make your Nest Mini more responsive to the hotword.
You may also want to try out some recommended steps below to help you with the connectivity issue:
- Check for possible congestion in your Wi-Fi network. Removing some of your connected devices can help free up some bandwidth space. You may then check to see if you will still experience the same connectivity issue.
- You may also check for possible sources of interference such as the thick walls and appliances in your home.
