She lives alone and we needed a way for her to make calls in case of emergency. She loves it. It doesn't clash with her decor and provides her with all of the functionality that she needs.

If this happens often, you can make it more sensitive. We recommend adjusting the “Hey Google” sensitivity setting (English Assistant language only). Other folks may be looking for other stand-alone functionality and from what we've seen, it's fairly reliable as well.

It comes very handy with multiple things. Once you learn all the things it can do, you'll also think it's worth the 50 bucks that it costs.

Setup was easy and I hung it in the wall though I had an issue with the speaker. Day 1 it worked fine. The next day when I started playing anything there would be random static that sounded like popcorn popping. Happened again consecutive days so had to tell return. Will try another one seeing how I like it.

These blue google minis are super cute, connected quickly and work great. If you upgrade your internet service and modem and then find your original Googles won't connect - you probably need second generation ones too.
