If you'd like to connect it to your new Wi-Fi network and your Nest Mini is still connected to your old Wi-Fi network, we recommend that you follow the steps below:
- Open the Google Home app.
- Touch and hold your device's tile.
- At the top right corner, tap Settings and then Device information.
- Next to "Wi-Fi," tap Forget. You’ll be taken back to the Home app home screen.
- Follow the setup steps to set up your device on the new Wi-Fi network.
If the old Wi-Fi network or ISP is no longer available, you'll need to factory reset your device and set it up again. For further assistance with connecting your Nest Mini to your new provider, please contact us on our Google Help page here: https://support.google.com/googlenest/gethelp

Recognizing devices one time but then ignoring them at other times. No set pattern or reasoning. I have used home automation since the 80’s so I am not a nubee.

If you haven't already, you can give each of your smart-home devices its own nickname for better control. Nicknames are alternate ways to call the devices in the Google Home app.
Here's how to create or change a nickname:
- Open the Google Home app.
- Select the device then go to Settings and then Name.
- Enter a name and then tap Save.
You can also say the voice command, “Hey Google, sync all devices." to refresh the connection of your devices and to make sure they reflect the correct settings.
