Mostly have them for music and they will respond to voice to start the music and change a few tracks, then they no longer register any voice command. What's the point of them if they only do half of what they are designed to do? You can purchase a bluetooth speaker that sounds much better than this and it won't promise to do something it can barely do (voice commands). Stay away unless you want a half functioning product.

Thanks for your review of Nest Mini. Sorry to hear about the difficulty with voice commands on your Nest Mini. We know it can be annoying to have a device that doesn't function as well as intended.
You can try the steps below and see if they help with the issue:
- Restart Nest Mini, unplug the power cord from your Nest Mini for a minute then plug it back in.
- Adjust how sensitive Google Assistant is to “Hey Google”. Here's the link on how: https://support.google.com/assistant/answer/9712065
- Reactivate Personal Results for the Google Assistant as this will help improve the voice recognition. Here's how: https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7684543
- If it's still the same, try performing a Factory Data Reset. On the side of your device, switch the mic off. The LEDs will turn orange. Press and hold the center of the Nest Mini, where the lights are on top. After 5 seconds, your device will begin the factory reset process. Continue to hold for about 10 seconds more until you hear a sound confirming the device is resetting.

Connection issues may be caused by several reasons such as Wi-Fi network congestion, outdated app version, an issue with the Spotify app or account. We also suggest performing a factory reset on Nest Mini to make sure it is cleared.
