Posted .Hi there Techciting, thanks for your feedback. It's great to hear that you had an easy time setting up and using Nest Mini. We do apologize if you're having some difficulty when giving voice commands and if it doesn't seem to be loud enough for you.
For Nest Mini to better recognize your voice commands, we recommend retraining it using the Voice Match feature and adjusting the sensitivity of the Google Assistant to your hotword. Here's how:
Retrain Voice Match:
- On your phone or tablet, open the Google Home app.
- At the top right, tap your Profile picture or initial and then Assistant settings and then Voice Match.
- Tap Teach your Assistant your voice again and then Retrain.
Change Nest Mini's hotword sensitivity:
- Open your Google Home app.
- Select your Nest Mini.
- At the top right, tap the Settings (Gear) icon.
- Then tap Audio.
- Then tap """"Hey Google"""" sensitivity and adjust the slider to make your Nest MIni more responsive to the hotword.
Your Nest Mini doesn't really have big speakers to deliver a powerful sound similar to bigger speakers. However, you can still change the audio settings of Nest MIni in the Google Home app to better suit your listening experience, and even make it a bit louder.
