poor quality and worth buying it. Even I can not return it. i don't why best buy changes return policy to only 15days without any notice to the customers.

Not as good as the Alexa Echo Dot 3rd Gen. Would like to see a way to play the same music on multiple speakers at the same time and a sense of shutting off a speaker if it can hear another one like the Echo dot has. The microphone is ok but still find myself repeating my command multiple times.

Charge last maximum 4 hours, screen fell off in two weeks

Good overall but sometimes looses connection to internet.

Stayed on the phone with google and they were clueless. Attempted to set up with a smart plug and after four hours of it not working and speaking with customer service I gave up and gave it away. Will never buy one again! Alexa was super simple to set up and use with a smart plug

I thought getting a Google Nest mini for 30 bucks was too good to be true when I saw the sell. And boy was I right. I have an original Google home mini amd it works fantastic, but for some reason this one won't keep its connection long enough to play a single song all the way through. Feels like I've been scammed and they had this huge sell on them just too sell the stock before anyone heard about it...

Same as the Alexa. Depends on what system you prefer.

Returned it the same day I got it. Voice recognition did not work at all. Google should stay out of this market, they are playing catch up with Amazon and they are not even in the same foot race at this point.

It’s difficult to improve on the best home assistant speaker, but that’s exactly what Google had to do. I currently have 6 of the original Google Mini speakers throughout my home. Our whole family uses them for weather, general information and searches, making phone calls, recipes, music, personal calendars and setting reminders. The speakers are very attractive, have a small footprint and surprisingly good sound quality for its size. Google has now introduced the updated version which is called the Google Nest mini. It looks very similar is size and shape to the original, however, the outside material is now made from recycled material. If you look at it side by side with the original, you can see the difference. The original has a sheen to the material which makes it look a little more expensive. Google managed to increase the size of the internal speaker without changing the outside dimensions. This results in noticeably more bass. This is helpful when listening to music but doesn’t affect any other function of the speaker. The Google Assistant has been built into the speaker so that some inquiries can be answered locally without having to access the internet. This is supposed to speed up certain actions and responses. Personally, I think the assistant works so well on the original that I really don’t notice the difference unless you're looking for it. And finally, the Nest Mini will detect your hands when the are placed over the speaker and light up the points where you can touch the speaker to raise or lower the volume, and you can pause music. It’s nice but unnecessary as It’s easy to just tap the speaker without the lights or you could simply control these functions by voice. In summary, Google had a tough task to improve on what I consider to be the best assistant speaker on the market. The improvements are nice but not significant. If you are looking to buy a home assistant speaker, or several, then I would highly recommend the Nest Mini, as it retains the crown as the best assistant speaker at a very good price. However, if you already have the original, there is no immediate need to upgrade.

This thing is garbage. It freezes up several times a week and there is no support from google what so ever. The problems conveniently started after the return window was over.

I don't like the whole thing with Sonos, where we will loose essential features like group volume control because Google lost a lawsuit. Put customers first Google. Let us keep grouped volume control.

Got this as a gift got the TV I bought. Ended up throwing this thing in the trash. Could never get it setup. Would only play one song, but no other commands. Back to the drawing board with this one!!

Constant adds, we thought it would be more user friendly but it still get confused and we find ourselves repeating actions

Helpful to pick functions to the smart lights on a cell phone. But, the Google Mini Nest Home has a network problem or deficit with the Google Mini Nest Home for speaking to the speaker, and the speaker talks back to me.
