It works great dose what it says and even more... signal was poir upstairs every blue moon we may max out at 77mbps average was around 44-50mbps after installing the google nest wifi we are averaging around 130mbps upstairs it's great. We have multiple 4k TVs so watching 4k movies on 2 or more TVs is no problem.

After doing my research, I decided to try this Google Mesh wireless. I read many good things about it and although it had some known downsides, I thought i would give it a try. Walking into this, I knew that i would get only 1 direct ethernet plug, we use 4 today. I decided to move our storage devices to the cloud to clean that up. Installation was pretty straight forward, no issues. There's some nice things you can do with grouping devices together if you want to pause the internet. Pretty cool. It's only single band, which i didn't realize but no worries. The devices are cool and that was part of the appeal because a router looks horrible in an office. The network was running less than 4 hours and it crashed. I was worried because the only way you can restart it is from the app and the app was being odd. Otherwise i would have had to power it off. All of what i read "no spinning" or waiting for network. Never had this before, but now i was seeing this on our AppleTVs. I looked at QOS and you can't permanently set QOS, it's only for up to 4 hours. what? well, i did that and no improvement. I thought it would improve 'in time' because it is supposed to be self-learning. A week later, the network crashed again. That's twice, i'm done. I will put my 5 year old Linksys dual band system back in. One of the antennas is busted and we get perfect performance with it and QOS that i can permanently set. I wanted to upgrade given I have a broken antenna, but this won't be it. I really wanted this to work. We have 100MB internet and 20 or so devices, with 2 AppleTVs and 2 gaming computers and 2 productivity (including web conferences) in the house.

What was promised was delivered. Installers arrived with the necessary equipment and with efficiency and pleasantness transformed an aggravating situation into pure delight. I can now utilize my cell phone and internet in every corner of my house! Amazing. A special thank you to installer, Ken Spacek.

Bought this to help extend the wifi in my 2 story, 800 sq ft condo. The Cox owned modem is downstairs, and getting a reliably strong signal upstairs to a couple of smart TV's was sometimes kind of iffy. These install quickly and easily, but as I've been finding out, the satellite receiver upstairs often loses contact with the main unit downstairs, even though when I test the mesh connection it says they have a "great" connection. This usually requires power cycling the satellite receiver to get back in operation. In another home, I have a (much more expensive) Netgear Orbi system with a main and satellite receiver to cover twice as much area as in the condo using the Nest, and those two units never lose contact with each other. If you want a relatively inexpensive mesh, get this. If you want great reliability, get the Orbi.

Hi Realist, thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you came across connectivity issues with Nest Wifi.

The Nest Wifi router can cover up to 2200 square feet. Each Nest Wifi point can cover up to 1600 square feet. However, Wi-Fi signal coverage may be affected by different factors and we recommend trying out some tips below to help isolate the issue:
      - As a general rule, points work best when they’re no more than two rooms away from each other. For example, if the far end of your house has weak Wi-Fi, don’t put a Wifi point in that exact spot. Instead, put it part way in that direction. Try to place it in an elevated position like on a shelf.
      - Building materials and other objects located between your Nest Wifi Points and mobile devices may slow your connection. If possible, try to use your device within a clear line of sight to your primary and secondary Points.
      - There could be signal interference due to traffic on your Wi-Fi network, on your neighbors' Wi-Fi networks, or from other sources like microwaves or baby monitors.

If you'd like us to take a look at the issue, feel free to contact our support team so we can help you further. You can visit our help page using this link: https://support.google.com/wifi/gethelp Nest

Simply amazing! I had the Nighthawk EX8000 in my house but it couldn't give enough signal boost to the first floor so I decided to try out the mesh Google Nest. Setting it up is so easy and fun, once I synced 2 of my wifi points, it may have been overkill but my entire house has a full wifi signal. No more dead zones.

I replaced our Apple Airport Extreme with this system. In our two story house, the Airport signal was a little weak. Plus Apple is discontinuing support. The three nodes are connected to Internet and each other one at s tome but it was so easy to do. We now have strong signals throughout our home!

My wifi in a section of the house was very weak .. 1 bar at most. After I had the Google Nest Wi Fi set up, the wifi boosted up to 4 bars strong! Best ever! Spent lots of $ on other boosters which aren’t even half as good.

The routers work great if you can get them set up. The directions are only about 3 lines long and are missing vital information such as the complete app name and the fact that it can only be installed on a phone or pad. Once you figure out where to go it is fairly basic what is required - however some things are left out because they think you've done this before.

The Google Nest Wifi is terrific! And what a difference it has made in my home. It has greatly increased my wifi distance...I can go anywhere in my home and I get a great signal. This was so simple to set up. It works great and I highly recommend you give it a try. I only wish I'd gotten the system sooner.

I always thought I had terrible internet service. It turns out it was the horrible router they made me use with their service. I did not realize how hard it was to be productive until I got the Google Nest System Router. We have not had a single issue since we brought it home. Highly recommend.

I have replaced Motorola wifi router with this Mesh router (AC2200). But, I am not satisfied with this google Mesh router. Because, download speed is very less (sometimes kb/s) for each device. But, At the same time, when i checked the internet speed status on google home app, it shows the correct download and upload speeds based on the ISP plan subscription. I do want each time to set the priority of the device to get the high download speed on specific device. Router should know based on the device usage or idle, it should provide right internet speed. I tried many options in home app, but, i could not fix this issue. Finally, I switched back to my previous Motorola wifi router.

Hi there, Selva. Thank you for sharing your review with us. We're sorry to hear that your experience with your Nest Wifi has been less than ideal when it comes to providing you with fast internet speeds. We suggest checking the 'Set Priority Device' feature if it's enabled. When a priority device is active, the other devices have their upload speed limited to 25% of their average upload speed. If you've done this step already or if the issue still persists, we recommend that you reach out to our support team and let us help find a better resolution for you. This really helped boost the WIFI around my home, however, since starting, so far 2 of the many computers/devices have lost the ability to connect to the Nest. One a reboot of the nest fixed, the other, it did not and still can't figure it out. Set up was fairly easy. Was able to, after a few tries to add our older google wifi to the Nest network.

Easy to setup and has a nice look. The Google Nest app took a little getting used to. Great built-in speaker for playing music. I use the Google Assistant to play YouTube Music (account needed). Provides a strong WiFi connection throughout my 3000 sq ft home.

Had to return this due to unstable connections. IOS devices would lose connection and this idea of setting static ip addresses was not for me. It worked great and was faster than my eero but the eero was more stable. Also setup took longer than eero. Google assistant on the points is a great feature but not having ethernet on those points was no bueno.
