They weren't. I think it is more a problem with the way my house is designed and my ISP as opposed to any real issue with the hardware. I have three of these Nest points ans two Google mesh points and I still don't have decently fast wifi in certain parts of the house.

Posted .Hi Jambox5000, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry for any frustration this issue has caused you. Each Nest Wifi point can cover up to an estimated coverage of 1600 sq ft. In general, points work best when they’re no more than two rooms away from each other. Also, having a clear line of sight gives the connections and network better coverage. It’ll be easier to strategically place them in a way that avoids obstructions, like heavy furniture and walls made of thick concrete or brick for a better signal.
