I had a not inexpensive Linksys ACS1900 that was only a couple of years old, but it was getting grouchy, dropping connections for no reason. A factory reset didn't fix it, so I started over with the Next system. It's something of a revelation. I need to serve two buildings, including the guest house, which is 15 yards across the back yard from the main house. This system with two add-on points handles it all. Set up was typically Google-easy, and it hasn't lost any devices once since then. Pricey but worth it.

I have now installed a Nest Wifi router + 1 point for my two bedroom apartment and the difference is noticeable. Speeds tests consistently show near full bandwidth availability at any corner fo the apartment. Other than one disconnection within the very first hour of setting everything up, the connection has been pretty solid so far. The installation was also very easy with the Google Home App.

I saw these at Best Buy and decided to give them a try. I have never had a better signal in the house, and I have totally adopted the Google assistant. Buyer Beware - this easily becomes an obsession. I now have multiple smart bulbs, outlet switches and one smart light switch. I have an additional nest and Nest display. I can easily see my ARLO cameras on either the hub display or on the Google App. I can't wait to replace the door locks and thermostat.

Once I switched to the Google Nest Mesh System I have had no issues at all and installation and use could not have been easier. I love this product so much that I bought another one for my mother. If you're considering my advice is get it, you will not regret it.

Google Nest Wifi and Google Wifi are mesh Wi-Fi systems, and do not need to be physically wired together via Ethernet cables to provide whole-home coverage. However, if you prefer to connect directly to your Google Nest Wifi router or Google Wifi point, here are some possible setups:
- Chain multiple Google Nest Wifi routers and/or multiple Google Wifi points together.
- Connect devices like a computer or TV directly into the LAN port of your Google Nest Wifi router or Google Wifi point. You can connect additional devices by adding LAN ports with a switch.
- Use third-party routers as part of your network.

Connectivity issues

It’s easy to unbox and setup a mesh network with the connection points. My only gripe however, is that for some reason our devices get disconnected from this network randomly. And a few minutes later we can reconnect. It may be a connection issue between these and the modem we use - but I have seen that many other people have this issue. So, It hasn’t been seamless at all. Hopefully can fix that issue, otherwise I would love it.

The connectivity issue may be related to a few reasons and if you're willing, we recommend trying out some troubleshooting steps below that might be helpful:
- Home layout: Building materials and other objects located between your router and Wi-Fi points or between your Wi-Fi points and mobile devices may slow your connection. If possible, try to use your device within a clear line of sight to your router or point.
- Check congestion: There could be congestion on your Wi-Fi network if you have many connected devices to the network. All these devices consume a portion of your available Wi-Fi bandwidth. You can try relieving the network by disconnecting some of the devices to see if this would increase the Wi-Fi speed for the device you’re using.
If the issue continues even after restarting or resetting your modem, then we may need to have a better look at what may be causing it.

Would highly recommend! A bit hard to set up, Took a lil time but once your set up. Its set. Pretty solid connection. We needed the wifi to extend to our gym room downstairs treadmill for the classes for my wfi and this did the trick. One in that room, the main router downstairs near the modem, and one upstairs room. Works like a charm! 3 is just the right number of access points/extenders. I gave the eaes of use a 4/5 since it was a bit tough to install.
