Haven’t used all the google features too much yet, but there are no dead zones in a 3 story townhouse.

Wi-Fi signal strength may be affected by Wi-Fi interference like physical barriers which may cause the limited ranges and slower connection to the Internet. As a general rule, Nest Wifi Points work best when they’re no more than two rooms away from each other. Reliable connection between Nest Wifi Routers can be affected by a few things: the size of your home, distance between routers and possible sources of interference. Here are some recommended steps you may want to try out to improve connectivity between your Nest Wifi Routers:
As a general rule, points work best when they’re about 2 to 3 rooms apart. As an example, if the far end of your house has weak Wi-Fi, don’t put a Wifi point in that exact spot. Instead, put it halfway in that direction.
Try to place it in an elevated position, like on a shelf. Nest Wifi Routers work best when they can see each other with a clear line of sight.
Barriers like heavy furniture and walls made of thick concrete or brick can affect Wi-Fi performance. With additional points, it'll be easier to strategically place them in a way that avoids obstructions.
If you have a house that spans more than one floor, we recommend adding an additional Wi-Fi point to create a strong mesh throughout the home.
