Only reason I did not take them back because the setup was horrible! They give you 4 simple steps which should be easy right, well the device was never able to be located. I had to call tech support and they had to connect through my old router to make the connection. Ridiculous! Luckily I was just replacing an old router, What if my old router didn’t work?! I literally spent hours getting it setup with that team. I hope I never have any isssues with that I need to call tech support.

Thanks for your feedback to let us know about your issue with your Nest Wifi's coverage. We know it can be frustrating when you can't get the Wi-Fi coverage you need.
Ideally, each Nest Wifi router is capable of covering up to 2,200 sqft. and each Nest Wifi point 1,600 sqft. unless your Wi-Fi is getting obstructed by objects like walls and furniture. We recommend placing your Nest Wifi point on a higher place like a shelf which can help broadcast signals in a more effective way. As a general rule, Nest Wifi points work best when they’re no more than two rooms away from each other.

It usually took a few reboots to get it working again, but the reboot process is very easy and quick (a few seconds). However, one day it just quit working completely. It showed the status as online, and yet we had no WiFi at all. After trying to get it working for a couple of hours, and a couple of factory resets, I boxed it up and returned it. That afternoon, I bought a Eero Mesh. That has been rock solid for days, and it was quite a bit cheaper for the same coverage....and it works!

Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wifi is fine, google software, works great until you get a new phone, then it becomes usless as you need to factory reset the whole system to get software to sync. if I didn't have 10 outdoor cams on the property would not be a big deal. come on google, your software company, fix the crap your pushing out

Normally, you shouldn't have to reset the Wi-Fi system to set up your new phone as the managing device of your Wi-Fi network. The system may require you to set up everything again if the initial email account you used to set up your Wi-Fi network and the email you used to sign in the Google Home app on your new phone are not the same. If you sign into the email account you used to set up your Wi-Fi system, you should be able to see the Wi-Fi network name in your settings.

Everything was nice in the first 12 hours... then connection went from great to weak and problems started... I had to return it and got the eero. Much better!
