Useless for home devices, no practical 2.4ghz
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesn't work at 2.4ghz, so useless for most home devices (ie light switches). Google help told me I would have to buy a second router for this to work.

Nest Wifi system utilizes a feature called proactive band steering – directs your devices to channels with the best performance. If it detects that your 5 GHz would provide a clearer and faster Wi-Fi connectivity, it will proactively switch your connected devices to 5 GHz band.
If your home is more than 2,200 sq ft., then you may need to add a Nest Wifi Point to your existing Nest Wifi Router to provide a better Wi-Fi signal coverage area.
