Okay But Not Great

I am not the most tech savvy person. Also found out today that I cannot have the verizon wifi on along with these mesh routers. I was unaware of this and struggled with having a consistent internet connection from either until I turned the VZ wifi off. They say I still need it though, so I am confused

Posted .Hi there IPad, thanks for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you had some difficulty setting up Nest Wifi. Nest Wifi works with Verizon. If the modem and router provided by Verizon are separate, replace the existing router with Nest Wifi to set it up with your Verizon connection. However, if it is a Verizon modem-router combo, you may need to set it up in bridge mode and disable its Wi-Fi functionality. This will avoid any network issues caused by both your combo and your Nest Wifi Router, broadcasting the same SSID and password. You may then connect your Nest Wifi Router to your modem using an Ethernet cable, and then connect your Nest Wifi Points to your Nest Wifi Router wirelessly.

Although the setup should have been easy to do, living in an area with no cell phone reception turned out to be an issue. After walking through the setup with Google support, I was asked to turn my phone to airplane mode. After that, the installation was an absolute breeze. The face that nothing within Google's documentation mentioned turning your phone to airplane mode is the only reason I'm knocking one star off the review.

The pods help to evenly distributed the WiFi network through to cover areas that normally would have had weak connection to your internet of no connection at all. This is my second set, I bought one for myself and also for my parents. We are all very satisfied with it and it’s pretty simple to set up.
