Throw that router and extender away! Mesh is the new thing and it’s awesome. Very easy to install and setup. I love that the google home has great features like letting you prioritize certain devices like gaming systems for a more stable connection when gaming. I’ve had it for a couple of months and have not had any issues with connectivity or buffering on any devices. Wifi signal is great especially with the points that extend and cover all those dead zones in your home.

One of the best mesh systems I’ve seen!

The Google mesh system is one of the best I’ve seen, with its biggest concern being they haven’t yet added wifi 6 functionality, while others in the same price range do. This certainly leads to a big impact if you’re somewhere with 500Mb+ download speeds. However, generally if you wanna really take advantage of those sorts of speeds you truly should be hard wired. Regardless, let me tell you what drew me to this system after returning my previous one, The Asus zen wifi AX mini 3 pack. I had that system for less than a week before it began to start losing mesh connectivity, and eventually came to the point where the mesh could not be established to one of the points at all! This is a huge pain, because even the one that did still mesh, I had to factory restore the system every single time just to get a connection. I have not had that sort of problem with the Google system. Far from it, I placed them even further than I had placed the previous system and the app still shows that they’re all receiving a great connection from the main router. These access points work phenomenally, and the fact that they have Google’s AI built onto them is even cooler. It allows me to do things like run a speed test or mesh connectivity test without having to grab my phone. I also have an android tv and that allows me to control it with smart commands which I couldn’t do before. Finally, my area doesn’t offer speeds fast enough for the mesh system to not keep up, so that problem doesn’t really phase me. The most important thing to me has been my ability to unplug and plug back in the system without losing any of the access points. Above all else a mesh system should be very well interconnected and this one does just that. There is no spot in our home that we go that doesn’t have 3 bars of perfect connection as though I’m standing next to the main router on the ground level. Shoot, I even get fantastic connection in the basement which I never could even connect down there before! So unless you’re running a network with gigabyte speeds, the lack of power won’t really be noticed, and this system, plus the easy to navigate Google home app which controls them makes for a very simple and intuitive mesh system that you should consider adding to your home!

Love this mesh system, great for when your main router isn't central to your household. Thought I would try the mesh because my son uses it in the garage and signal was not great with my old router. Placed the second point in the kitchen close to the garage door. Love that I don't have to choose 2.4 ghz vs 5 ghz, it just connects to the best one automatically, no separate band names for each. Would like more hard wire connections but you can add an adapter if you need more inputs.

Bought the Orbi Mesh WiFi and struggled to set it up...took way too long. I had to call Nergear CS for assistance...sent it back immediately! Bought Google Nest Mesh and had it set up within 15 minutes including placement. Works perfectly with consistent speed throughout the house. No issues and simply used the Google Home app to set up and use. The two Access Points have built in Google assistant and their speakers are on par with my Nest Mini. Good purchase and would recommend without hesitation.

What a great purchase. I was worried that I was buying something overpriced that I didn’t need. This has transformed my home WiFi instantly. Now I have superior coverage in every single room of my home. The setup is easy. It automatically updates and provides excellent tools for support. I only hate how much information google asks for. I’ve opted out of most location and personal data collection. I’ve even been able to easily mute the google assistant to have it function solely as a WiFi mesh. You won’t regret this purchase.

I’m finally getting the speeds that I pay for using this system. I upgraded from the rental router that my service provider offers and wow! It is great. We have a 1600sq ft single story home and I have the router on one side and the two hubs spaced out in the middle and other side of the home. I get great connection now, and my speeds have gone from 2mb/s to 80 mb/s on the far side of the home. I can control my hue lights, and other smart home products using it as well. I really love this system.

Pros: Easy to setup....Good strong signal throughout my house....Combined my 2 SSID's into 1 since it knows which speed to connect devices to. Cons: No matter what I've tried I can't get my Insteon cameras to work remotely any more. When I called Google they gave me some ideas to try, but so far they haven't worked. I have 5 of these cameras, so it's kind of frustrating if I won't be able to view them remotely in the future.

Moved from a powerful single router over to this Nest Mesh. Previously, we were getting decent WiFi on the middle floor, but very poor performance on the 1st and 3rd. The Mesh Points immediately provided significant increase in speed on these other floors. Also, very easy to install in a matter of less than 30 minutes for the Router and both Points. Had an issue at one point, but the install instructions anticipated it and was easy to correct.

I was not happy with the speed my Comcast cable modem/router was delivering. The nest mesh WiFi system boosted it 4X! It's on the pricey side. Will take about 2 years to recover the cost since it must also be paired with a modem and Comcast modem/router is only $12/mo. But the speed is so much better and with added benefit of google assistant in each location I feel good about the decision. I found it a breeze to set up.

I bought this because of the poor connection that I get in my lower level. Upstairs I had great wifi but I found that because of the florescent lights in my craft room was getting in the way of good reception. The person that helped me at Best Buy was very knowledgeable and explained all of this. He recommended the Google-Nest mesh system and what a difference that has made. I know longer have connection issues in that room. The only thing I had problems with was that google stopped answering my commands. To fix this I brought it back to the factory default and I haven't had any issues since.

Purchased the 3-pack to ensure coverage into a concrete basement. Setup was all of 10min. OK, I am slightly computer literate - but still 10 min. Worked along side other already in place Google devices & provides much better coverage than prior modem/router & extender setup. Supporting 1 full-time WFM w/ MS-Teams, 1 full-time college student w/ Zoom/Blackboard, & 1 part time general use consumers. Also delivers strong streaming solution for the student in the far corners of the house.

I decided to upgrade from the standard Comcast modem/router to a Nest wifi router and access point. This has helped to expand my coverage. The app is easy enough to use and the features are easy enough to access - device priority, family wifi, etc. The only thing that kept this from getting 5 stars is that it lacks the ability to add timers to devices -eg. the xbox loses access after 5 hours. It allows me to set up on and off times, but the timer would be better. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again, and highly recommend if you are already using google and nest products.

    Just What I Needed!

After spending months searching for a solution to my wifi problem, Google Nest WiFi came through with a major win. To start, we moved apartments to a newer 2 story place. Nothing new and my Netgear Nighthawk had always served me well in the past for single and 2-story apartments. However, this place was insulated to the 9's and we had terrible wifi signal in the upstairs office and bedroom. 1-2 bars of signal strength and speeds that barely rivaled the old 3G networks. I tried to get a Netgear mesh router and after 4 fruitless hours I ended up returning it. Nothing fit what I wanted which was just a wifi booster. I wanted to keep my old network name, password, etc. and just have the signal be stronger. Nothing worked. After buying this (my poor wallet) and spending the 10 min putting the hardware in, another 15 min setting up the network and the 2 wifi points, I had EXACTLY what I wanted. Just one single network that I was able to set up sooooo easy with the app and had solid wifi strength for my devices all over the house. I wanted to cry and leap for joy at how well this worked. The price is scary yes, so if you see a sale don't hesitate to purchase. It has a lot of extra google assistant, music, and streaming connections (think Alexa but Google) that I could have probably done without for a much cheaper version.....but they are neat little features to have, and to be honest, after all that searching and wasted time with other products, I think the price is easily worth it. The only downside I can see, is that the main modem has only 1 Ethernet connection for 1 hardwired device. To be fair, I only used 2 of the 6 on my Netgear Nighthawk for my game systems, but it would've been nice to have at least 2-4 connections. If you prefer some hardwired connections, you may be disappointed. However, the wifi speed using test software provided the same results as the hardwired devices, so I don't think I am missing out much.

If you need an easy WIFI solution for your home, stop wasting time shopping and put this kit in your cart immediately. A little pricey, but easily worth it once I got to see how easy it was to setup. And let me tell you, THE COVERAGE is superb. I have no dead spots in my 3600sqft home and get 225/10 in every corner of my house. I love the control I get with the Google Home app and I could not be happier with my purchase. Seriously, save your time and grab these while you can.

This was a cinch to set up. I usually read many reviews on different websites to determine if I'm going to buy a product or not. The reviews for the 2 pack were lower than the 3 pack...but many mentioned that is was difficult to set up. Well., I've a pretty serious router and modem set up...and this was extremely easy to set up. I recommend it to streamline upload and download speeds. I'm consistently getting 460+/22+ speeds and quite happy with thus far.

AWESOME! In the house I never had a WiFi problem, the problem was in the backyard. We're in a ranch style home, I placed the Router in the office in the front of the house, and the Point on the fireplace mantle / backyard facing window. I now get the same exact speeds all over the house and even the very far corner of the yard along the back fence. Highly recommend the Nest WiFi, and it was beyond easy to install!
