Beautiful, handy, doesn't work much with Nest
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is sold with Nest and Yale branding, but it doesn't really work with Nest. I mean, it presumably routes through nest for on/off and setting the combination, but the Nest key fobs that arm and disarm the base station DO NOTHING with this lock. So if you assumed you would have keyless entry with this system, you don't. It IS cool that your phone is the key though. Downside is when that fails, maybe because your phone is trying to switch from cellular to wifi right when you try to unlock the door. Force-quit the app. Try again. It'll work unless you wifi is out. But in that time you could've just fished out a key and turned it. Best method I found is lock/unlock it while still in your car (in the winter). That's wonderful.

You may want to try out some helpful steps below:
- Disable the cellular/mobile data for your mobile device where the Nest app or Home app is installed. If you’re using your cellphone to check, make sure it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your lock. To help make sure cellular data is off, turn on Airplane mode and then turn on Wi-Fi.
- Check the OS version of your mobile phone device. We recommend the following versions for the best experience when using the Nest app or Home app:
Android phone or tablet with Android 8.0 or later, and iPhone or iPad with iOS 14.0 or later versions.
- Try updating the Nest app or Home app.
- Try installing the Nest app or Home app, using the same account, on another mobile phone or tablet device, and see if you will experience the same issue.
- If you don't experience the same issue with another device, we recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the Nest app or Home app on the main mobile phone device.

I love the connectivity to the house and you can install yourself.
