Easy to use and multiple things you can do. Its great for rental properties cause you can do a different access code after each customer leaves

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The product is relatively easy to instal to the door, but not so easy to connect to the Nest app. After several attempts, contacted Nest support and got nowhere. Even they couldn’t figure out how to get the product to connect to the Nest App after updating software, installing, uninstalling and reinstalling the Neat Connect and resetting the lock ( which require the lock to be uninstalled from the door). Their idea was to repeat the processes over and over in the hopes that one of the attempts would change. I called it quits after an hour and a half of trying. Don’t bother with this product.

I have issues with two of them at my rental property with tenants actually breaking them by not closing the door fully. If it jams to often the lock could potentially break. I have one at my house and I actually enjoy it alot.

Now, the remote operation features for this lock do not work at all. It appears that an update to the Nest Connect firmware now prevents remote operation of this lock. Even worse, even trying to connect the Nest Connect to your network causes your entire WiFi network to shut down. Nest has been aware of this issue for some time and appears unable to resolve the issue. I have not been able to use any of the remote functions of this lock since September of 2018.

Worst Smart Lock

Dont believe none of it. It was one of the worst and dumb locks i ever bought. First, it connected fine with the nest but it lost reception and it would no longer connect to wifi. Even before that, it is not comparable with homekit, and working with google home was not that perfect either. So, the nest is a bridge.... why cant they have ONE single lock with built in bridge? After 6 hours trying to reconnect, customer service, troubleshoot, i returned it and got a wifi smart lock. This lock is definately not worth the price.
