The lock is solid quality and one that you can install on your own. The hardest part is getting the bolt to align with slot in the frame. I’d also recommend connecting the to WiFi last. I’ve had it for almost a month and no issues.

Great product! Easy install, both physical and connectivity. Works well with other Nest products and Google home. No current procedure for Alexa. Nice to have seperate codes for others and remote open/lock via phone.

I really like this deadbolt. Its easy to use. Easy to program. Sometimes the touchscreen isn’t responsive enough. But not enough to annoy you. The inly thing i really dont like about the lock is you still have yo use the nest connect to connect the lock to the internet. As advanced as technology has become it really shouldn’t require a separate wall plug in hub to connect to internet. Other than that. Im really happy with this lock.

This is the only smart lock I've tried, so I don't really have a comparison but I'm really happy with this one. I have other nest devices, so it's nice using them in a single app. The doorknob we originally had was a low quality builder standard one that had a couple mm of variance to where the door would close that would close the Nest lock to snag and not close fully. Once I replaced my doorknob with a sturdier one, the Nest lock has closed reliably every single time. Just keep that in mind when you're buying this that your current doorbell may need replacing.

I waited several years for this product to come out and have been very happy with it. It was easy to install, battery life is great, and I love being able to unlock remotely (nice when carrying in groceries).

Why not take the extra step for Security, that was my starting point. Once I installed lock I was content with the decision made to protect my family a step further. And it’s cool and easy to use! Buying a 2nd one next week!

This thing does what it needs to. Hardware is easy to install. I had a lot of trouble getting this to connect to Wifi at first. Then it disconnected and wouldn't reconnect. I tried a reset, but there was an error adding it back to my Nest account. Nest support was no help. I finally turned off DNS encryption in my router, and that fixed not being able to add the lock to my Nest account. It is more reliable now, but still disconnects for hours at a time for no apparent reason. It would be perfect if it would stay connected to Wifi. I have tried moving the Nest Connect (Wifi intermediary) to different locations in my home. That has not made any difference. Otherwise the keypad is responsive, and has worked reliably even when it is offline. I stopped trying to use my phone to lock/unlock because it is almost as likely to be offline.

Pairing with Nest Connect is either completely simple and straightforward or a multi-hour nightmare. They key issue is that the Connect hops on to your 2.4 GHz network while the lock itself is in the 5 GHz network, and your phone is also likely to be on the 5 GHz network as well. Particularly if you have a mesh router, this can be highly problematic as the app just stalls and freezes without being able to detect the Connect (as they're technically on a different network). If you can get past all that, these locks are feature-rich and great. Very intuitive and easy to use, probably the best on the market. If your door sticks or doesn't close properly the lock will catch and annoy you as it insists that the deadbolt is stuck or the door is not locked (even when it is, just not 100% all the way to the left).

This is the first smart lock I’ve purchased. Easy to install and they integration with the app works great. It’s a little pricey, but worth the investment.

I love our smart lock. It is super convenient to be able to lock my doors remotely. They look beautiful and work great. The installation was easy and we haven’t hade a problem since they were installed.

Love this lock. Was exactly what I was looking for. Easy to install yourself and easy to control through the app. I love that you can give house guests access but limit it at the same time.

Great aesthetics and easy to use. Installation was pretty easy except I had an issue where my Nest app would detect it until I restarted my wifi network. Other than that, love the ability to lock/unlock the door from anywhere!

I Airbnb my house when I'm out of town. Would highly recommend this lock. Works really well with the Nest products on the app, and it's so easy to set different codes for different guests.

I recently bought this lock to help turn our home into a smart home and I love it. It looks super sleek, and the quality of the lock is very high. I am planning on getting it for more than one outside door as well. Worth the money!

I’ve had other smart locks but really like this one because I can connect it to my other smart devices and can assign different codes for different users. It was also really easy to install and setup.
