Needs a fingerprint and key lock to compete with the newcomers to the smart door lock game

I wanted to install this on an interior office door to try and add security when I am away. It ended up not quite fitting just right due to the way the original door mechanism was installed. If you're buying this, make sure all the measurements are right and/or you are installing this on a fresh door that has not had a lock previously installed.

would have gave it a 5 star if the deadbolt wouldn't have been giving me so much of a jammed problem.

Works ok but very sensitive. You can set the lock or privacy mode off just by shutting the door.

My camera was out of service most of today my thermostat was out of service most of yesterday my doorbell is out right now...

Seems like everyone is having the same issue as I am. Looks like the T030 issue is widesrpead and google has no solution for it. The lock itself works fine - but needs a nest connect in order to connect to wifi to make it a smart lock. This doesnt even work and will fail everytime. I reset the nest connect and it always works on this screen and connects to wifi - but the second I add the lock into the mix the nest connect just doesnt work. Unacceptable a brand as big as google doesnt have a fix for this.

Purchased 3 of these for airbnb. 1. No numbers display until you tap the "Yale" logo. This RELLY confuses people who never used the lock. 2. Once the number light up, and you enter you code, you still have to press the check mark button for the door to unlock 3. The flat number pad is a touch screen, but it is NOT sensitive enough and it often misses number presses... Very frustrating! 4. If you have multiple homes and want to pair the locks with the nest doorbell cameras, be prepared to pay for every home separately. It gets VERY expensive! 5. The app assigns it's codes to ALL locks assigned to a home. So if you want to have a different code on the mother-in-law suite, you have to create a dirrent home account. Then pay 2x for the nest doorbell even when it's in the same physical home. I have 3 of these things and Needs a 4th... Very tempted to sell them all!!

Only issue is you have to carry wet wipes or you can see finger prints and someone could guess the code

I have a ton of Nest products - thermostats, smoke/carbon detectors, doorbell camera... This was my first disappointment. Shame because it looks very cool! First, it's not as easy to install as their other products, does take some time. I had to revisit a few sections so dedicate ample time for setup. Second, i couldn't get the Nest connect to connect to the lock. I troubleshot everything, reset modems, deleted and re-added connects, moved them to different rooms, didn;t matter. I called tech support - they couldnt solve. They sent me to second tier support, they couldnt solve. They said I could exchange it and that it was faulty. Lame! Done with this route, going to either try a compeitior or just stick with a good ol' key. I guess I'm not ready for this tech yet - oh well.

I have owned this lock for over six months and it constantly loses network connection. When this occurs the lock is rendered useless. Must enter home through a different door. Nest support recommended a replacement lockset and contacted Yale with me on the call. Yale agreed but 45 days later no replacement, no response to my emails.

Clear that I was replacing a Ring doorbell with this Nest, the clerk failed to inform me a ‘plate’ would be needed (to cover the Ring holes). Installation was a disaster. After I discovered problem (and solution of buying a plate via Amazon), the end product was less than impressive. (The plate is nickel which is nice but the NEST doorbell is white & black with a tiny bit of nickle. The end visual looks odd at best. It doesn’t have the nice visual appeal that you’d want for your front door. The doorbell doesn’t match the NEST Yale lock that was sold to me.... that’s odd too. I thought the sales guy knew what he was recommending to me. The image quality is acceptable but the motion is so sensitive I am notified every time a car passes on the ‘motion’ feature. If the techs knew how to adjust this, they certainly didn’t offer and I didn’t realize it until after they were gone. For what I paid for the doorbell and the Geek Squad, install. I expected more. I may be too generous with the stars.

I decided to install the lock myself. I had some difficulty in getting the device to work on my network. The Nest service department was absolutely no help at all. Neither was the Geek Squad. I ended up figuring it out on my own. We do love the lock. Just don't expect any technical assistance.
