    Unlike the one y’all installed in front door that has ZERO problems, the one on garage door has constant error messages!

    I love this lock. It’s super quiet and works perfectly every time. doesnt freeze up and keep us locked out like our old one.

    Not worth the price

    remote locking and unlocking work. But guest's codes never worked. When guests put in their codes, the lock send notification saying "guest is using access code". but the lock would not open, beep, blink, or does anything!!! tried reinstall it several times, but still can not get that part to work. disappointing for an expensive product.

    I found it incredibly hard to program, when I called customer service , they referred me to google? I found it very hard to understand the person with customer service. I returned.

    Stock up on batteries

    Works well enough, but eats through batteries like nobodies business. Have to replace the batteries every 2 to 3 weeks.

      Thanks for sharing your experience with us. We´re sorry to hear of the persistent battery issue you´re having with Nest x Yale Lock.

      The battery drain issue may be related to the increasing power needed by Nest x Yale Lock to stay connected to your Nest Connect. Nest x Yale Lock doesn't connect to your Wi-Fi network directly. It has to connect to Nest Connect that acts as a border router to connect to your Wi-Fi network. We recommend making sure that your border router is within range (~50ft direct line of sight) of the Nest x Yale Lock and Wi-Fi router. This range could be shorter if there are potential sources of interference, either physical interference (thickness and type of walls, mirrors, windows, etc.) and competing signals (other wireless devices, baby monitors, microwaves, etc.)

    Real difficult setup and use

    This product is real difficult to install and setup and use. Does not fit standard door knob openings. Wifi connection is real spotty.

      Before beginning installation, you'll want to check that your door meets the following requirements (most standard doors will). You're able to use the template included in the installation manual or a measuring tape.

      Your door’s thickness is any of the following:

      1 3/8 inches
      1 3/4 inches
      2 to 2 1/4 inches

      The lock hole center is either 2 ⅜ or 2 ¾ inches from the edge of the door.

      If your door’s lock holes are out of these specs you can either re-drill the holes after you’ve removed your current lock, or contact a Nest Pro installer in your area to install your lock for you.

    Always disconnects

    Do not buy this lock. It is constantly getting disconnected from my wifi. I had a Schlage that worked great It’s also poorly designed….you have to take off the batteries to unmount it Terrible experience

    Nest Lock

    Let me start by saying I absolutely LOVE Nest products. I have several cameras, thermostats, etc. But this lock is terrible. It constantly goes "offline" even though my nest connect is within a few feet away, and the master code will not work when it's offline as it some how ends up in "privacy mode". This lock is being returned. VERY disappointed.

    Terrible product. Doesn’t fit my existing door, would have to replace the door entirely if I wanted to use it. Step by step directions are lacking, unlike the doorbell feature that was really easy to install.

    Might as well have just gotten a normal lock

    I bought this to see who was entering our place in Las Vegas. Instead, the lock is constantly going off line. First we had someone in Las Vegas drive over to our place to try to fix it. Then it worked for a week or two and went out again. Mind you, the nest was online and the thermostat could be adjusted, so it wasn't the Nest, it was the lock. Don't waste your money on this.

    Best Buy & Google-Nest Stop Selling Obsolete Prod

    Bought this lock 4 months ago because I could connect it to my Google Max Hub. Paid $300 for the Nest Yale lock. Received an email from Google today stating effective in July, the lock will no longer be functional with Google Hub Max. Complete waste of money.

    Absolute junk by nest and Google!! Lock by Yale works great but the wifi connectivity has major issues and nest customers service will just give you the run around with NO resolution. I have two of these locks and one was installed by Dish which even took them two technicians and two days of trail and error.

      Nest x Yale Lock can't connect to Wi-Fi directly, it comes with Nest Connect as a border router to connect the lock to your Wi-Fi network. Please make sure Nest Connect is set up and connected to your Wi-Fi and Nest x Yale Lock is connected to Nest Connect via Thread Connectivity. If you have already set up and established the connection with the Wi-Fi, we recommend ensuring the distance between the devices is not too far:
      - If Nest Connect is too far away from your lock, your lock will be offline in the app but Nest Connect will be online.
      - If Nest Connect is too far away from your Wi-Fi router, both Nest Connect and your lock will be offline in the app.

    Not a a big fan. Clunky and ugly. And id did not work well with Siri or Google Voice. There are much better choices out there like the August locks.

      The Nest x Yale Lock doesn’t offer direct or native integration with Siri. Setup and controls are found in the Nest app. While you can manage and change the lock settings with either Nest app or Google Home app, full features and functionality are available in the Nest app. Voice control with Google Assistant requires a compatible smart device (sold separately).
