I love that you can have the door automatically lock after a certain amount of time. Control is very easy. The only thing I dislike is that the keypad is full of fingerprints.

Also my dad fell and he is very old and can’t get to the door. We have lots of home health aid people coming over and they have a guest password and can easily let themselves in while I’m at work. It also hooks up to my nest cam security system at the house so it’s very convenient - also if I want to go on a walk in my neighborhood and have no pockets I don’t have to carry my heavy keys because I can just press the numbers to get in!

It fit into the previously drilled holes. Keypad locks into the deadbolt so it cannot be removed. Easy everyday use and thermostat and lock set up in same app.

Installing the lock was fairly easy. Had a few issues getting the lock synced up to our Nest app, but was able to get it after removing the thermostat from the app (added back on after lock was synced). The lock functions great. It’s great to be able to lock the door while laying in bed or on the run. Given the parents and siblings there own passcodes and it’s great to be able to track who comes and goes. The Nest functionality is an added bonus for anyone that already has any of the other products. Highly recommend!

Struggled to get the lock to pair and connect to the wifi for some reason. Had the bridge plugged in next to it and still had trouble connecting. Overall its decent but dont know if its worth the price. Also doesnt work with alexa so keep that in mind if you use that. Need to use google home instead.

Please note that the Nest x Yale Lock cannot connect directly to your Wi-Fi network. It needs to connect to the Nest Connect first, which comes with your Nest lock. The Nest Connect acts as a border router to your Wi-Fi network. To ensure a stable connection, please consider the following steps:
- Check the proximity: Make sure your Nest x Yale Lock and Wi-Fi router are within range of the Nest Connect, ideally within 50 feet in direct line of sight. Keep in mind that this range could be shorter if there are potential sources of interference, such as physical obstacles like thick walls, mirrors, windows, and competing signals from other wireless devices, baby monitors, microwaves, etc.
- Restart your devices: Try restarting the Nest x Yale Lock, Nest Connect, and your Wi-Fi router to refresh the connections.
- Adjust device placement: If necessary, consider moving the devices closer together to establish a stable connection.
Additionally, you may want to check your current setup and see if some of the recommended items below can prove to be helpful:
- Disable cellular/mobile data for your mobile device where the Nest app or Home app is installed. Ensure your phone is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your lock. To ensure cellular data is off, turn on Airplane mode and then turn on Wi-Fi.
- Check the OS version of your mobile phone device. We recommend using Android 8.0 or later for Android phones or tablets, and iOS 14.0 or later versions for iPhones or iPads when using the Nest app or Home app.
- Try updating the Home app.
- Consider installing the Home app, using the same account, on another mobile phone or tablet device, and see if the issue persists.
- If you don't experience the same issue with another device, we recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the Nest app or Home app on the main mobile phone device.

I don’t need to pull out my keys anymore and I can set temporary passcodes for guests and even set certain times when they can and can’t work. Super cool!

Battery lasts over a month with over 20 x’s a day locking and unlocking. Also great to have when family arrives from out of town.
